One review described it as ‘isolated’ - well yes, it is, apart from a few other houses in the hamlet.

The nearby town of Ahun is just 5 km away, with essentials like a boulangerie and a supermarket. For wider shopping, fuel, and other services, Guéret is only 14 km away.

Ground Floor

The heart of the house is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a dining table that seats 8 – perfect for group meals, family breakfasts, or long conversations over wine and cheese.

The cosy sitting room offers a leather couch, an additional sofa, and a comfortable chair, along with a TV for relaxed evenings in.

There’s also a ground-floor double bedroom, ideal for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs. Adjacent to it is a ground-floor toilet.

The large walk-in shower room includes a wash basin, chair, and a washing machine. Grab handles are fitted in the toilet, shower room, and shower itself – for guests who may need a little extra support.

Upstairs

The upper floor has three comfortable bedrooms: two doubles and one twin.

The upstairs bathroom includes an over-bath shower, toilet, wash basin, and bidet.

Outside, there is an enclosed yard equipped with a table, chairs, pergola, and an outdoor rug.

To the side of the house there is a garden and beyond that a small field you have access to.

Additional Information

Bed Linen & Towels

No need to bring your own, all towels and bed linen are provided and there are extra pillows and blankets should you need. If you are staying more than 1 week, the bed linen and towels can be refreshed mid stay.

Children

Children are very welcome, but please note that no specific facilities are provided for young children or babies. If your child is not yet able to use adult glasses, utensils, stairs, or chairs independently, please bring whatever extras they may need to be comfortable and safe during your stay.

As the hamlet is exceptionally quiet, we kindly ask that children respect the peaceful environment for the benefit of all guests and neighbours.

Pets

Friendly dogs are welcome at the farmhouse (sorry – no cats). Marley, our very friendly resident dog, lives next door and isn’t keen on cats – hence the restriction.

We ask that only friendly dogs join you on your holiday, and please note that due to the surrounding farmland and livestock, dogs must be kept under control at all times for everyone’s safety.

Dogs must not be left alone in the property under any circumstances.
