The location is as good as it gets and it was important to us (with kids) to have an easy walk to the beach. The grounds were kept extremely clean and nothing felt crowded. Our room specifically felt lacking in how it was stocked. There was no dish or hand soap in the kitchen, no seasonings or oils, not even salt or pepper, Tupperware or cups to take outside. We felt there could have been more provided for a rental with a kitchen.

My two biggest "issues" are purely personal. Ground floor is the only way to go for the price and then the price. Only two "issues". If you want chilled out beach vacation the answer is yes.

Our only huge downfall was it said it slept six but the pullout couch was the most awful thing ever. We end up having to go buy an air mattress. I would not recommend this place for four adults and two kids counting that pull out mattress at somewhere to sleep.

We arrived early knowing the condo probably would not be ready but just to enjoy the beach longer; however we were pleasantly surprised to find we could check in early. Condo was clean and beautifully decorated. Plenty of space for my family to stay peacefully. The king bed frame could be upgraded and the mattresses could as well. Our overall experience was great; would definitely recommend to friends.

Great Location, Least Favorite Unit

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been to Destin five times, and the only complex we have stayed at is Coral Reef. The main reasons why we keep coming back to Coral Reef are because we want the beach to be our backyard, and the number of units is small, so everyone has a great spot on the beach. There are two units we really enjoyed staying in, but they were booked, so we decided to try number 13. Decor was very cute. Cleanliness of unit needs improvement- floor was dirty, we couldn't locate a vacuum or dust pan, and there was hair on an end table, on a toilet, and in the shower. The shower was terrible- water wouldn't drain properly, so water would collect in the bottom of the tub as you were taking a shower. The tub needs a complete remodel, as there were buldging tiles around the faucet. We will stay at Coral Reef again, but we'll stick with the units we know are taken care of by the owners.

Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd stay at the Coral Reef, as always it's has great views, nice condo, updated appliances and not overpriced. But omgosh the mattress this year was awful...I complained but was treated by one of the ladies at the front desk as if "I just needed to get over it". Other years the front desk ladies have been wonderful. My husband slept on the couch 2 nights and we left a day early because of it. If you're thinking of stay in #13 you should ask if the mattress has been replaced.
