The Toll House at Riverside Stamford

This lovely cottage style home-from-home sits on the edge of the River Welland and Town Bridge, perfectly located with all main Stamford attractions within walking distance, including shops, bars, restaurants, the Meadows and of course Burghley House and Gardens.

Our lovely Grade 2 listed apartment dates back to 1849 where it was used as the bridge tollgate building. You'll even see the small window hatches still in place where tolls were once paid.

Fully refurbished with many original features still on show, this is the perfect spot to feel immersed in all the character and charm Stamford has to offer.

Stamford is recognised as England's finest stone town boasting more than 600 listed 17th and 18th century buildings including medieval churches and the world famous Burghley House which hosts the Burghley Horse Trials each year attracting visitors from all over the world.

The historic market town of Stamford in Lincolnshire has been named as the best place to live in the Midlands, according to The Sunday Times. The picturesque Lincolnshire town was described as “architectural eye candy” by judges of The Sunday Times Best Places to Live guide.
