The Dairy is a beautiful and unique stone cottage nestled in the grounds of the former Edwardian farm house, You can enjoy almost 4 acres of formal walled garden, cottage garden and ancient woodland, within the grounds of the main house.
All set in the wonderfully peaceful Gloucestershire countryside the cottage is a fabulous and tranquil retreat to share with your four-legged friend and is perfectly situated to explore all the wye valley, and nearby forest of dean, has to offer.
This cosy cottage is set upside down, with a double bedroom and shower room on the ground floor and open plan living area with fully kitted out kitchenette on the first.
With direct access to the Offa’s Dyke, you can step outside and walk for miles without crossing a single road, some with stunning views across the River Wye and towards St Brievals.
Where better to sit and enjoy a glass of wine after a busy day's cycling, walking and exploring than the lovely gardens. Or if the weather is cold, the central heating will keep you cosy while you take the opportunity to snuggle up and enjoy a good book, or have fun reconnecting with a game or two.
Outside is a sunny gravelled courtyard and access to the grounds, ideal for relaxing at any time of the day and bird lovers can sit back and relax whilst watching the many species that will join you. Explore the ancient woodland area and you have a high probability of spotting deer, or even the shy, elusive wild boar (we’ve not seen them in the garden yet, but have spotted them along the river)
This area is full of many walks and cycle routes and for those feeling energetic canoeing, fishing and golf are on your doorstep. There is an outside tap for washing down muddy dogs, boots and cycles
For a quieter day you can visit the market towns of Monmouth or Chepstow which offer an abundance of charming tea rooms, individual shops and restaurants, visit caves, castles and much more.
Please note: there is free parking for one car. Additional parking may be available for a charge if booked in advance
This is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of modem life.
The cottage now joined the 21st century and has fibre broadband and a smart TV. We also supply a selection of dvds, books and games for your entertainment. Although most of our guests like to kick back and look at the stars, and all that nature has to offer

About the host
Hosted by Lorna Rose

Originally from Surrey, we made the move to Gloucestershire in 2022 and have been restoring the house and grounds since. We love the outdoors and enjoy meeting our guests.
Why they chose this property
The area is so tranquil and neighbours are very friendly. The only traffic jam is when the cows are brought in to be milked. What's not to like?
What makes this property unique
Rural, but close to all amenities.
