Chalet Gueret - luxurious chalet sleeping 14+4 with pool, sauna and games room

A traditional Alpine ski lodge offering luxury hosted self-catering accommodation, just outside Morzine, in the charming village of Essert-Romand. Chalet Gueret offers outstanding amenities and great comfort with magnificent, far-reaching views. It is situated within one of the most extensive and varied ski areas in Europe, the Portes du Soleil.

Chalet Gueret is on four floors. The basement, with separate entrance, has ski and boot racks and a large drying room. The ground floor and main entrance have a small office, toilet, children's games room and sauna. The first floor has the sitting room, long dining table, small breakfast room and kitchen plus two bedrooms while the top floor has 4 bedrooms.

The chalet sleeps up to 14 in some style, with six large bedrooms, all en suite. The living areas are very spacious and include a breakfast room (useful for small children), library and TV/games room, as well as a sauna and an outside heated pool by an antique, wooden mazot (Savoyard barn).

In addition there is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom interconnected, self contained apartment with separate front door which is available if required at additional cost. It can be used as added bedrooms or as a staff flat.

The rooms are well-proportioned with high ceilings, lots of natural light and traditional balconies. Much of the furniture is antique, or hand painted, and the beds have excellent mattresses and fine linen. The bedrooms are all generously sized, have plenty of storage space, and include toiletries, hair dryers, fluffy white robes and bath sheets. The duvets and pillows are mostly goose down (with synthetic fillings available).

Chalet Gueret is an eighteenth century farmhouse that was completely rebuilt to the highest luxury standards in 2000. It has a wonderfully restorative atmosphere, and is a beautiful place to relax, spend time and enjoy the superb views. With all its facilities and comfort, it is particularly well suited to groups that include skiers and non-skiers.

The chalet is let on a self-catering basis. However, you will be looked after by our charming concierge whose family live and farm in the village. Chalet Gueret therefore combines the fantastic service of the very best catered chalets, with the freedom to choose from a range of bespoke services.

Your beds will have been made up according to your specifications ready for when you arrive, and the chalet will be warm, with a log fire set. You will be greeted and looked after by our concierge who lives across the lane. She is available every day to make sure you have an excellent holiday. She knows the area really well and can advise on the best ski areas for the conditions or suggest a lovely walk for non-skiers. She and her husband will clear snow from the paths, deal with any technical queries, and make sure you have plenty of logs.

Our hosts will also book and organise skis, lessons, restaurants, masseurs, physios, guides, nannies and generally be very helpful.

Our concierges can do your supermarket shop in advance, and offer excellent catering (arranged with, and paid directly to, them). They can cook delicious four course dinner parties for 14, simple suppers or children’s teas. Fondue/raclette sets all available.

Chalet Gueret offers the bespoke service of a hosted chalet, with the freedom to eat as you please. Cook in our well-equipped, luxury kitchen or have some help – it’s your choice.
