St Bees itself boasts a beautiful sandy beach, dramatic coastal walks, traditional pubs, and local shops. The village is also home to St Bees Priory, a historic Norman church with fascinating links to medieval history. Just five miles away, the Georgian town of Whitehaven offers a scenic harbour, museums, and a marina lined with cafés and restaurants. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway, a heritage narrow-gauge track, provides a nostalgic journey through the picturesque Eskdale Valley. Further afield, visitors can explore the rugged beauty of Wastwater, England’s deepest lake, or hike iconic peaks such as Scafell Pike.
