Welcome to the most Luxurious Condominium on Okaloosa Island. This outstanding Mediterranean Style complex with its beautiful landscaping and deep, sugar-white sand beach is Kid friendly - two large pools (one heated yr. round) and two hot tubs. And now more than ever, The Azure just makes sense. The building occupies a large swath of beach yet is only 6 stories tall. That means far less people at the pool & on the beach, short elevator rides and less traffic on the roads. If you want to be in the crowds and traffic jams brought on by 30-story developments don't worry, drive another 6 miles and you're there.
Beyond the impressive building itself is the unmatched luxury of Unit 108. This incredible condo is constantly renovated to furnishings looking brand new. The bedding is premium; better than most people sleep on at home & the same that is used in Hilton Hotels. All appliances are modern, all the TVs are flat screen's with an enormous 65' TV in the den. The den is also outfitted with a sound bar & sub-woofer that connects to the TV and has a connection for your MP3 or Apple music player. A Roku device is included so guests can use their streaming services. The unit has been professionally decorated with high-end furnishings. Our Designer chooses a subtle coastal theme, rather than the 'souvenir shop' décor found in some condos. If you're a guest that can appreciate good taste, you'll feel right at home.
BRPH acquired unit 108 in the Spring of 2014 and sent our Designer in to work her magic. The unit had just been painted and re-carpeted. We felt the quality wasn't up to our standards, so we repainted the unit with the same $25/gallon paint we've used in units 312 and 401. At great expense we replaced all carpet with a faux wood, tile floor. We have received great feedback about the warm, "beach house" feeling it gives the Condo. The results in 108 are stunning.
If your family includes little ones that constantly keep you on the move between the pool, beach and condo - or perhaps youngsters you just want to keep an eye on from a comfortable chair, consider this: for slightly more than a budget 3 BR unit, you can have one that requires no elevator, is very close to the pool, the splash fountain and the walkway to the beach. We installed a bar-height table and chair set so our guest can sit comfortably yet high enough to keep an eye on young ones at the pool or just look out over the crowd and view the beach. If your visions of a beach vacation include constantly going back and forth from the pool, to waiting on the elevator, to the condo and back again, perhaps it will be worth a little more to stay in 108 and enjoy the combination of luxury and convenience. Just leave that nightmare vision of being drug back and forth, kids in tow behind you. Its YOUR vacation too, why not actually enjoy it?
Beach Service for two is included with your reservation (2 beach chairs + 1 umbrella), during the warmer months. Just see the attendant near the foot of the beach walkway to get set up. They will gladly assist you in renting additional chairs as needed. Chairs may be rented in the off season by contacting Sunset Beach Service (off season rentals are not included).
With this condo you'll skip the long lines that can form at check-in time for both the front counter and the lobby elevator. We'll give you a key code the day before you arrive and of course the elevator simply isn't required. You'll be on the beach while other guests are still lined up to get keys. Furthermore, Unit 108 is THE CLOSEST to the beach, pool and lobby. No other condo has better proximity to the property. If you seek to stay in the finest, most accessible and most highly desired condominium in the area, Unit 108 in the Azure is the one that you've been looking for.
The property features secured, covered parking, and it is also a half mile from the convention center and walking distance to several restaurants, shopping, and a great nightlife. We also have an upscale miniature golf course right across the street!
We looked at every detail that makes for a great family vacation: How far is the walk to the beach? Where is the trash chute? How loud is the dishwasher? How can we assure the bedroom décor will please children, teenagers and adults? Does the unit feel like an upscale beach retreat or a souvenir shop? Does the WiFi cover the entire Condo, including the patio? Vacations are precious time; most of us hope to visit the beach once per year. The best vacations we've taken were those that allowed us to live, at least for a while, at a higher style than we enjoyed at home. Thus our goal is to help guests enjoy the kind of vacation we like to take, where they are surrounded by comfort, style & convenience. Perfect family vacation spot. We have stayed in many Azure units and we loved this one for the easy access to the beach. Also nice to not be right next to the hotubs where most of the late night noise is.
My family and I had a wonderful stay in our Azure first floor ocean view condo. The condo was lovely and met our needs well. I highly recommend staying there.

We loved everything about the property (absolutely great location), with the exception of the cleanliness. There were quite a few bugs crawling around the kitchen and counter tops/floors weren’t super clean when we arrived. The location more than compensated for the few shortfalls.

Michael - thank you for a fair and balanced review. The Owners Association is responsible for pest control, so I will let them know immediately. They are very responsive, but if we don't hear about an issue we don't know to inform them.
We have stayed at Azure before and always loved it! This was the first time we rented on the first floor and it was awesome to be able to walk right out to the pool! Our kids loved it! We also loved that John could be flexible with the dates as we had some of our older kids flying in and out at different times and days! The weather wasn’t great but we had a great time being together in a beautiful place!
Condo was super clean and comfortable. I was worried that it was too close to pool for noise but we never heard anything. Had one issue with the living room tv but John was super-fast to respond and it was fixed quickly. Only thing needed in kitchen was a pizza cutter. Other than that, everything we needed was there and good quality. It was wonderful to walk right out the patio and youre at the pool, and steps from the beach walkway. Weather and rip current kept us poolside for the last few days but having 2 pools and hot tubs was a great help. Thanks for letting us stay in your unit!

PROS:
This condo could not be in a more perfect location! Plenty of room for everyone and immediate access to the pool, hot tub and beach.
The patio furniture was in nice condition and comfortable to hang out in for hours.
The master bed was comfortable and had super soft sheets and pillows!
The sliding doors to the outside are super solid and we could not hear anyone playing outside! So don't worry about that!
The kitchen was well equipped and had both drip and keurig style coffee pots. This condo does not come with any spices. So make sure to bring at least salt and pepper! It is stocked with two garbage bags, one roll paper towel and one-ply toilet paper. So make sure to add those things to your Walmart delivery if you're staying more than a few days. (Don't forget to order ice as well.)
Overall, the property is very well maintained and we all felt very safe and secure.
CONS:
The bedrooms located at the entry door will hear a lot of noise from the door slamming in the hallway. It's not too terrible, but definitely worth noting for those light sleepers.
The girls had hung two towels on the gate for less than an hour and we got written up (letter on our door knob). Yes, against the rules so that was on me for not telling them. I had already taken them down when I saw we received the warning. Again that was on me, but wow, they're fast to write you up! LOL
But in all honesty, we will choose to stay here again. The management team was very responsive and kind.
As far as a great and relaxing stay goes, this condo has all the requirements for one. Proximity to the pool is unbeatable. Just 15-20 steps outside of the patio and you're there; in under 15 seconds. What could be easier? And beach access is super easy too. I loved having the beach chairs too. The only drawback is you're right next to the access door to the pool/beach for the rest of the condo's upper floors that don't have a patio with pool access, and also the access door to the front walkway. Constant foot traffic through these doors does eliminate your privacy while on the patio, and the front access door is always being opened and slamming shut at all hours as folks come and go. It can be frustrating for those staying in the two front bedrooms. But it's also great for people watching which can be a blast. That being said, it's not the fault of the property owner / manager, but more of a location issue. The condo itself is first rate and well appointed and beautiful. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.
From the moment we arrived, we could not have been more pleased with what we experienced at Azure 108. From the spacious layout to the comfortable furnishings and the tasteful décor, we felt at home immediately.
Walking onto the large patio we saw the view of the ocean and pool that we had envisioned from the online photos. The patio had four tall stools and table along with two chairs with ottomans and a table. We spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying early morning sunrises. The year-round heated pool/hot tub is literally right outside the patio gate. That was extremely convenient as we had young grandchildren visit during our stay. The boardwalk to the ocean was just a few steps further. It was convenient to make multiple trips to the beach throughout the day instead of packing for the beach. Note: This unit is on the first floor and in our opinion in the perfect location. Easy in and out to the pool and beach. Just a few steps from covered parking. No waiting for elevators.
The large an open living room, dining room & kitchen allowed for a beautiful view of the ocean. The living room TV was HUGE. The kitchen was very well laid out and furnished. We prepared a number of meals over our 5 weeks stay. The breakfast bar and dining room table provided many seating options. The bedrooms were exactly as described and worked great for our guests.
It is easy to navigate around Ft. Walton Beach. There are may options for groceries and incidentals as well as restaurants, coffee shops etc. nearby.
We loved every minute of our stay. John, the owner was very responsive when we needed him. This is definitely the place we want to be to get away from cold Minnesota winters. We will be back!
We have stayed at The Azure several times over the past 12 years, and this unit was my all-time favorite. Beautifully decorated and perfectly located on the ground floor just steps from the pool and beach. The only upgrade that could enhance the visit is at least one set of chairs and an umbrella with the beach service. When we compared this unit to others that were available, we opted for the upgraded interior and unit's location over other units that offered beach service. Every communication with the owner/manager of the property was timely. Highly recommend this unit.

Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are considering adding 1 set of chairs again. We got away from this several years ago when it seemed that no matter how clear we were about "2 chairs" some guests would harass our beach attendant with "the condo sleeps 8, why don't I get 8 free chairs?"
That bad experience led to our taking the costs of chairs out of our rental and cancelling the service. Perhaps its time to take another look at it.
We traveled with our 2 small children (ages 18m and 4 yrs) Unit 108 is right next to the splash pad and beach entrance so both sets of grandparents loved easy walk to the beach! Great location for loading and unloading as there were no carts available upon our arrival or departure, we had one at check out sitting at our door but someone snagged it (rule, can not bring cart into condo) The condo is beautifully decorated, furniture and beds were comfortable its a little rough in areas and needs some repairs. Bar stools need replaced and dishwasher is on its way out. there is a lot of mold growing in master bathroom baseboards that needs to be addressed. We had to have a toilet seat replaced upon arrival but that led to having to have a new toilet installed which the owner took care of right away! The front door doesn't have a safety lock high up so my youngest could open open door and just let herself out, this also allowed the housekeeper to come and go without us knowing while working to replace the toilet, so that was a little unnerving to walk into. the only negatives we have about this condo is the rules. we have traveled around the world and stayed in many different resorts, hotels and private condo rentals over the years and have never had as many rules strictly enforced. No drinks (plastic cup) near pool, no music outside, pool opens 9 am and not a minute sooner, multiple families with young children were turned away at 8:40am. Those traveling with young children start their days much earlier than we would like and not having pool or splash pad to use was inconvenient. the grounds manager was extremely rude and went out of his way to remind my family several times that we were violating rules ie. hung my youngest bathing suite bottoms on the gate while undressing her and then forgot them and came back to a highlated rule page taped to our gate. although the condo was comfortable and a great location I can't say we will be back due to the hostile/unwelcome vibe given by the owners vs renter mentality. if the condo owners do not want renters then they need to take that up with their HOA. Also check in is at 4pm (fine) and check out is at 10am sharp (don't ask for late check out its in the rules!) I under estimated how much work it was going to be to get kids fed, showered and condo cleaned prior to check out all the time promising to take them one more time to the beach before leaving bc you know the pool is out of the question 🙃

Ashley, thank you for an informative and balanced review. We're glad you found the condo convenient, comfortable and well appointed as described.
As for the items needing attention - our Housekeeper helps us keep track of these. We've had no maintenance window since April due to high occupancy and (for instance) the bar stools began peeling in July - my guess is the vinyl just reached its service life. We did get a 3-day window starting 8/28. Most of the items you brought up, and some you kindly didn't (the closet door being off track, the broken knob on one of the vanities) have been addressed. We're also awaiting delivery of a new $8000 sofa - 108's isn't bad, but its not up to the standards we set in all our condos. We're taking the bar stools to the shop that did our dinning chairs. We'll have to wait until late Oct to get the needed 2-3 week window.
We do give guests that ask a chance to check out late or check in early when we can - When we have back to back rentals a 10AM departure is needed so that we can clean the unit in time for the next guest's arrival. I'm sure you understand.
As for the rules - some I like, some I don't. I think a plastic container or steel cooler cup by the pool should be allowed. I took the required hiatus from the Condo Board 2 years ago. I've given notice of intent to run again in the Oct elections. We're going to lighten up a few things w/o compromising the quality our guests expect.

We quickly grew our holdings to include 3 condos at the Azure. We have a 4 bedroom extended unit (1,950 sq ft), one standard 4 bedroom unit (1650 sq ft), and one 3 bedroom unit (1,500 sq ft). All units have been completely remodeled at a very high standard and compete to be the best in the complex.
John grew up in the business -the Vincent family has over 40 years experience in owning and managing vacation properties. Carmen is a celebrated Interior Designer with a keen eye for coastal décor. We realized that few property owners work to deliver what we wanted when we vacation - spotlessly clean, meticulously maintained properties at reasonable prices. We talked about how we'd pay just a little more to avoid being surprised when a condo didn't match the pictures taken 10 years ago. So we decided to pool our talents and start a business buying condo's that are in need of an update; renovating the property to a level that competes with and exceeds that of any high-end resort hotel. We're picky about the condition of our properties and expend inordinate effort to ensure they are well maintained. Yes, we ask a little more than the other guys. What you get in return is a condo that looks just like the photos you see here. And we are active members of the Condo Owner's Association, with a presence on the Board of Directors.

Set on a wide, uncrowded, sugar-white sand beach, The Azure is one of the, if not the nicest property on Okaloosa Island. It is within walking distance to several restaurants, the pier, a liquor store and within a mile of Publix Grocery. We are 6 miles to Destin but away from all the traffic. An upscale miniature golf park is right across the street from The Azure. The Condo Owners Association does a wonderful job of keeping this property a first class resort. It is conveniently located near shopping, nightlife & great restaurants yet is away from the congested highway. All on one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. The Azure has very convenient covered, secure parking. You don't have to worry about coming out to a sun baked car in the summer or unloading in the rain. The property also features 2 large pools, 2 hot tubs and water park for young children. All this with Shopping and dinning a short drive away.
What makes this property unique
All of Beach Resort Properties Condos are meticulously maintained and regularly inspected. Too often we meet guests complaining about the condition of the condo they rented. We realize how precious a beach vacation is, and work tirelessly to ensure our units are spotlessly clean, up to date and well maintained. This unit was professionally decorated with high end appliances, a 65" Smart flat screen TV in the den with 46" in TV's in the 2 king bedrooms and a 40" TV in the Twin bedroom. The entire condo has tile floors with rugs that are easily replaced when we see wear or spots on them. Patio furniture is also brand new with 4 bar stool height chairs and 2 more lounge chairs. You may find a cheaper condo, but you will not find a better balance of quality and price.
Do you hate to wait? You can skip the often long check-in lines at the front desk - we provide you with a door code prior to your arrival so you can get to the beach right away. We've also noticed that after waiting in line to check-in, guests then wait in line to get on the elevator...but with this unit you won't have either of those delays. And with unit 108 having the closest access on the entire property to the lobby, pool and beach, your arrival day can be a 'fun' day too. The unloading area is so close to the front door that our guests can shave an hour off the work of just getting situated.
