About this property
High Peak Place - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 8
The property, tucked away perfectly for adventure and calm, offers easy access to some of the Peak District’s most rewarding dog-friendly walks and heritage spots. Begin with a wander to Bugsworth Basin (2.5 miles), where cobbled towpaths trace the old canal, then head into the peaceful Goyt Valley (5.5 miles) with its woodland, moor and reservoir views. Eager hikers are well served with views at Eccles Pike (2.5 miles) and Kinder Scout (12 miles), which provide rugged views overlooking the Peak District. In Buxton, the Pavilion Gardens and Opera House (7.5 miles) mix culture with leafy trails, charming independent shops and arcades. Explore the grandeur of Lyme Park (3.5 miles), the historic Marple Locks (7 miles), or the Millennium Walkway (3.5 miles) suspended above a gorge. For dining out, Chapel-en-le-Frith (5 miles) is popular for its cosy pubs and dog-friendly cafes, making it an ideal place to unwind after the day’s exploring.
Enter through the back door into the stylish kitchen/diner with its bold feature wall and sleek white cabinets with matching tiles. Cook with ease using the modern appliances, then gather around the table set for eight. A separate utility room with a washer/dryer keeps damp walking gear in check. Upstairs on the first floor, with the charm of street-level access, two inviting living rooms provide a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. At the front of the house, the first lounge offers a peaceful spot to unwind with a plush sofa that transforms into a double bed, a Smart TV for cosy film nights and a characterful ornamental fireplace. To the rear, the second living room is perfect for relaxed family evenings, with space to spread out and playful beanbags that children will love. When it’s time to turn in, a second staircase leads to the third floor, where a beautifully styled double bedroom with its own en-suite shower room promises a restful night. The spacious family bathroom is also found on this level, featuring a bath, shower, and WC. The bright and modern twin room and a further double bedroom are located on the fourth and final floor. With room for eight guests, this beautifully modern home offers generous space to relax together or find a quiet corner for yourself, making it ideal for both sociable gatherings and peaceful moments alone.
While the property doesn’t include a garden, its countryside setting more than makes up for it, with a wealth of walking routes nearby ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging climbs. There is on-street parking at the property, subject to availability.
