About this property
Alice's Studio by Wonderful Italy
Lovely studio apartment located on the ground floor in the heart of the island of Ortigia, in an exclusively pedestrian alley midway between the Giudecca district and Piazza Duomo.
The accommodation opens onto a living area with an essential kitchen corner fitted with a microwave and induction hob, flap snack table and double sofa bed, featuring a glass front door and window. A blackout curtain divides the sleeping area consisting of a queen-size bed, storage chest and cabinet. The interior layout includes a bathroom with shower and bidet. From the unit a courtyard can be accessed: the area is unfurnished and shared with other apartment buildings. A small table with two chairs can also be set up outside the apartment for guests to enjoy the very characteristic alley.
Guests are provided with amenities such as a washing machine, air conditioning and free wi-fi.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
For lovers of relaxation and the sea, Eastern Sicily and the area around Syracuse offer everything you could desire. Starting from the ancient Greek city and heading south, the best-equipped and most beautiful beaches to explore are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella, and Fontane Bianche, named after the natural freshwater springs and the particular white color of the sand. Inside the island of Ortigia, you will also find equipped solariums (Zefiro and Nettuno) and a free beach called Cala Rossa. Venturing further south, about 30 km, we find beautiful unspoiled and rugged beaches, including Calamosche, Vendicari with its Natural Wildlife Oasis, and the beautiful San Lorenzo. For culture enthusiasts, the Greek Theatre of Syracuse and the entire archaeological park with the Ear of Dionysius, a cave carved into the limestone in the shape of a human ear, the Paolo Orsi museum, and the Latomie dei Cappuccini, as well as Ortigia itself with its historical and cultural beauties as well as its scenic beauty, are a must-see. Not to be missed is Noto, the seafront with the tuna fishery of Avola, and finally the fishing village of Marzamemi. In short, Sicily is a land to be explored, and its natural and cultural beauties are treasures to behold.
The accommodation is a 10-minute drive from Syracuse train station and an hour's drive from Catania airport.
