About this property
Vine Views II 3 bedroom air conditioned home with stunning views, pool & garden
Please note, while this is our first year renting this house, our other house in Pouzolles has all 5 star reviews so we know what it takes to be good hosts. This winemakers house has had a complete renovation to create a very comfortable home for up to 6 guests. There are various living spaces including the summer kitchen, the dining terrace, the first floor kitchen / living room and the veranda with dining and seating areas.
There are 3 very comfortable bedrooms, two with ensuite shower or bathroom. Two have air conditioning and stunning views over the village to the vines. There are two kitchens, the summer kitchen at the garden level has a dining table for 6 plus an island bench for 6 with a view over the garden. The pool is just under 6m long and has a lounging area in part shade.
Access to the summer kitchen and garden is via the garage, guests can park one car in the garage or choose to find a free parking spot in the street.
House Features
• Two air-conditioned bedrooms (one en-suite)
• A further large bedroom with fan and a jack and jill shower room (ensuite to the bedroom plus access via the hall)
• First floor: Main kitchen and living room (air-conditioned), bathroom, and a veranda with breathtaking views towards the Pyrenees
• Ground level: Fabulous summer kitchen and dining area (indoor & outdoor), shaded by a beautiful Mulberry tree, leading directly to the 6m pool (access via the garage)
We generally use the summer kitchen all of the time in the summer months. It is fully equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, and plancha barbecue. You’ll also find a Weber barbecue, ample indoor and outdoor seating, and everything you need in the kitchen — this is, after all, the owners’ main residence. We recycle the water from the summer kitchen to use on the garden so no soaps to be used; there is a dishwasher in the garage if you prefer.
Although the house sits on a main road, your rental includes only the peaceful, private rear-facing rooms (one bedroom street side) ensuring a quiet and restful stay.
Linen and towels are brand new and 100% cotton.

Important Note: Reduced Summer Rate
We’ve just completed a major renovation of this home and are offering it at this reduced rate for summer 2025. While the house is fully functional and beautifully presented in all of the main rooms, a few final decorative touches — such as the hallway and staircase finishes, terracing by the pool and various other bits and pieces — will be completed in time for next season.
We have a lockbox so we let yourselves get settled in and then come say hello and show you around. We will need to pass through the garage once or twice a week to clean the pool and water the garden.

About the host
Hosted by Kerry Latchford

Hello! We are Kerry - Irish and Philippe - French. We have another house for rent in Pouzolles (Vine Views I) and this one is our main home so we are calling it Vine Views II. We rent our house out every year to help pay for the renovations which have been very extensive! We have lots more ideas for improvements but you will find it already very comfortable and easy to enjoy (just don't look too closely at the wallpaper in the staircase!). We have been here for just over a year and are enjoying seeing the garden develop and creating new useable spaces. It was an "old lady house" when we bought it with wallpaper everywhere and parts that had not been used in years.
Why they chose this property
I (Kerry) moved to France 17 years ago, discovered Pézenas and wanted to be in a village close to Pézenas but a small enough village to be able to walk in the vines every day and enjoy nature. Now we have the choice of Béziers or Pézenas when we want a bit more life but our day to day dog walks are a great pleasure and we love all the local events and activities, being close to the sea but also to Lac Salagou, the Gorges d'Heric etc.
What makes this property unique
The views! The view from both South facing bedrooms on the top floor is just magnificent, also from the veranda where we have set out living and dining areas. We fell in love with the view and the garden and I hope we have created a really relaxing, calm space with our renovation. I also love that we have lots of different living areas, depending on the sun or shade or time of year, there is always somewhere that feels right.
