About this property
Stunning fiord panorama view off-grid forest cabin
This unforgettable hideaway is anything but ordinary. Nestled beneath towering pine trees, 92 km from Ålesund, this off-grid forest cabin invites you to experience nature at its purest — with sweeping panoramic views of the fjord and nothing but forest silence surrounding you.
Here, luxury is defined by time, space, stillness, and the profound feeling of being disconnected from the chaos of the modern world. There’s no running water — and that’s the point. You’ll shower in the nearby forest river (if you prefer - in the usual bathroom at the main house before starting your stay) and use an outdoor toilet that comes with a view of the treetops and stars.
Perched gently on natural rock walls, the cabin seems to float above the forest floor. Inside, you’ll find:
• A wood-burning fireplace for simple, grounding meals
• A cozy loft with two mattresses (90cm & 120cm) and a sofa bed below
• A rattan dining set for slow meals
• Writing desk (for finally finishing your book!), books and board games for screen-free evenings
• A private terrace with dining area and views into the wilderness
This cabin doesn’t have insulation in the under construction part, so you’ll truly feel the elements — warmed by the stove (or electric oven) or cooled by the mountain air. Bring your own sleeping bags, towels, and drinking water for the full off-grid ritual. Bed linen is available for an extra fee.
Please note: The climb up to the loft requires agility — a reminder that you’re not in a hotel, but in a cabin built for real forest living.
You’ll have the entire cabin and its spacious terrace to yourself. Wander through majestic forest, descend to the fjord for a cold plunge or a picnic, or simply listen to the wind whispering through the pines.
Optional add-ons (based on availability):
• Private wood-fired sauna by the river
• Motorboat fishing tour with a captain
• Hobby fishing access from the shore
No tap water. No distractions. Just a crystal-clear forest stream a few steps away — perfect for rinsing off, cooling your feet, or simply listening to nature’s lullaby. The absence of modern amenities becomes the greatest luxury of all: your mind slows down, your senses sharpen, and time stretches out beautifully.
Whether you’re dreaming of writing your first book, finishing a screenplay, or simply journaling your thoughts with a view over the fjord — this is the kind of silence that speaks volumes.
You’ll leave lighter, clearer, and deeply reconnected to what truly matters.
