The master bedroom features a king-size bed and an en-suite, providing a touch of extra convenience, while the kids’ bedroom is thoughtfully designed with bunk beds and a double bed, making it ideal for younger guests. The third bedroom is a comfortable double, offering flexibility for additional guests.
Downstairs, the spacious open-plan area combines a dining room, kitchen, and lounge, complete with a wood-burning stove for a warm atmosphere. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, making it easy to prepare family meals, and the dining area is perfect for enjoying them together. The enclosed back garden is an excellent space for outdoor activities, featuring a BBQ, chiminea, and a "sitooterie" – a Scottish term for a sheltered spot to sit outside, perfect for soaking up the fresh Highland air.
Nearby adventures include a tour of the Dalwhinnie Distillery to sample a Single Malt. There are also local craft beers and gin distilleries in the area. Enjoy walking and cycling trails from your doorstep including routes along Loch Ericht and into the Cairngorms National Park for wildlife and bird spotting. Closer to home, try fishing in the River Truim, located at the front of the house, or kayaking on one of the local lochs.
A short drive will take you to Newtonmore, home to the Highland Folk Museum, and MacPherson Museum, where you can step back in time and explore traditional Highland life. Aviemore, just 40 minutes away, offers family-friendly activities like the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre, and cinema, and is widely known for its wildlife and outdoor pursuits. Skiing and ice skating in the winter months are available locally.
