This is an off-grid property and there were not any instructions on how to start the generator, lights, or A/C. The bugs are terrible - the floor board have spaces between them and there are large spaces between the roof and the walls, so the bugs inside are as bad as outside. You will be bitten by hundreds of bugs if you stay here. We provided the host a list of improvements, not wanting to leave a public review to allow him opportunity to make improvements, but he did not acknowledge or respond. We use a few sites for bookings, and this is the first ever poor review that I've given.

I was very dissapointed. I was told up front there was no AC and there it was a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. What I experienced was having to drive several minutes through an active boat marina and storage area that ended at a suspicious dirt parking area. The walk was a solid 10 minutes, the last two being on pallets through a marshy swamp. The "cabana" was a glorified shed with plywood walls. The sliding glass door barely worked and the place smelled of wood. Perhaps this place was ok for a few fishing buddies, not for a couple. Needless to say, we did not stay there. I let the host know and asked that I be refunded one of the two nights I paid for. The host all but threatened me.
