About this property
The Prince of Stifone - Short Term Rentals Italy
The Stifone Prince Accommodation at the Nera Gorges in Narni allows you to relive the essence of what was an important river port to reach Rome in ancient times.
Today Stifone surprises with its ancient village charm and its natural beauties.
The Accommodation is located right in the centre of the ancient village of Stifone, along the Nera river, of which you can admire the splendid emerald colour. From the Village it is possible to start the Nera Gorges cycle-pedestrian path and you can climb up to reach the remains of the Monastery of San Giovanni. Near the Village it is possible to admire the ancient river port of Narni, which Tacitus also talks about in narrating the travels of consuls to Rome, and the ancient shipyard discovered only in 1969, near loc. Le Mole.
The house has been renovated maintaining the original construction characteristics to be able to savour the charm of the Village.
Stifone is the most characteristic of the villages of the municipality of Narni, a municipality rich in history and culture, where you can admire the Underground Narni with its fascinating underground environments, including the Hall of Inquisition Torments, the Albornoz Fortress built in 1300 on a pre-existing construction dating back to Frederick Barbarossa, the Cathedral of San Giovenale dating back to 1100 and other important medieval Palaces.
Narni is positioned along the Via Flaminia and can be conveniently reached both by car and by train.
