My husband and I stayed for nine days and the experience was disappointing. The apartment is listed as being near King’s Cross, it’s a 15 minute walk away. Photos on the site do not accurately show the current condition of the unit which was not clean/well maintained. We found hairs in the bedding, dirty floors, trash left behind, no toiletries and only one towel each for the entire stay. The rugs looked like they hadn’t been washed in months and the blinds were worn. The washing machine/dryer didn’t work leaving our clothes covered in soap and forcing us to wash them in the sink and air dry them. The tub wouldn’t drain leaving us standing in dirty water while showering. On our last morning the cleaner arrived two hours before checkout wanting to enter the unit to start cleaning. Later sending photos implying the tub did drain though it was clear they had taken it apart to make it work. A tenant from below knocked one night about a leak from the unit above ours and checked a bucket in our laundry room kept there for ongoing building leaks. We notified the host James immediately. James communicated entirely through WhatsApp instead of Vrbo.Required passport photos and an additional deposit outside the platform. When issues arose he made no effort to help simply saying he’d take the feedback into account for the next guest. Vrbo support said the renter never replied to their messages about my refund request leaving the issue unresolved. Would only book if these issues are fixed
