There is a new cycle path connecting Mazan to various surrounding villages and the local town of Carpentras.
Its proximity to the Tour de France route, which passes through Caromb and Bedoin, makes it a rare opportunity to witness world-class cycling up close, all while enjoying the tranquility and luxury of a home away from home in the heart of Provence.
Beyond cycling, the village boasts historical sites, traditional markets, and rich culinary and wine experiences. Visitors can explore the medieval old town, stroll through its narrow streets lined with stone houses, and visit the Château de Mazan, once home to the Marquis de Sade.
Mazan and the surrounding villages—such as Mormoiron, Venasque, and St-Pierre-de-Vassols—are nestled among vineyards and lavender fields, offering scenic walks through picturesque countryside and charming historic lanes. The region also boasts a variety of other activities such as wine and olive oil tastings at local wineries and groves, pony riding, aerial challenge courses, and lake swimming.
