The kingfisher, approved Valeurs Regional Natural Park lodge

Located in a property of 120 ha of woods, meadows, ponds. At the heart of the Brenne regional nature park, the churn mill (built in the 13th century) is the ideal place to fully enjoy nature. You will be able to contemplate fauna, flora, birds in the greatest calm. You will enjoy walking on the hiking trails. You will be able to stroll along the private ponds of the property or along the river (5km) which winds 30m from the gîte.

Passionate about horses we can welcome your companions in a barns, individual paddocks and working quarry. Daisy hikes from the property, roaming in the Brenne park.

Fishermen! The Brenne country of a thousand ponds is the perfect place to let your passion run wild. We have 4 ponds and 5km of river (2nd category).

Naturalist friends and photographers, you will be enchanted by the ecological richness of the places, orchids, more than 25 species of birds, more than 26 different butterflies, cistude, bat, insects and large fauna ...

Beautuful location

We had a wonderful week in this gorgeous setting. Romain's dad was lovely and did his best to chat to me even though I have only a tiny bit of school french. We were there during quite a hot period so we stayed in the gite for most of the day on two days, this was when we realised we needed cushions for the outdoor seats. We saw a variety of wildlife including deer, dragonflies, humming bird hawkmoth and (only once) a kingfisher, the little lizards are great to watch and we heard rather than saw the big fish But we did spy some smaller ones

Eerste week nat, tweede week volop zomer.

Dit jaar was het uitzonderlijk nat, wandelen was geen optie maar desondanks hebben we een heerlijk rustige vakantie gehad. De natuur is hel mooi en je kunt geweldige fietstochten maken in de Brenne. De herten liepen in ons uitzicht, zwarte roodstaart, zilverreiger, ijsvogel, grote lijster, boomvalk, wielewaal en boommarter gespot. De broedplaats van 4 reigersoorten en witwangstern aan het meer van Bellebouche zijn een aanrader. Enige nadeel was het ontbreken van horeca in de buurt.

1 semaine nature dans la brenne

Nous avons passé un trés bon séjour au gîte du martin pécheur. Le grand parc est agréable pour se balader et pêcher des carpes et écrevisses pour les amateurs et apercevoir des biches. Romain est un hôte discret et très accueillant, il élève des lapins (en bio) et nous a proposé une visite de l'exploitation ce qui a beaucoup plu à notre fils et nous aussi.

Urlaub im Naturparadies

Eine ähnlich idyllische Lage eines Ferienhauses ist schwer zu finden. Pilzreiche Wälder mit lautstarkem Rotwild, welches in der Dämmerung bis ans Haus herankommt, wechseln sich mit offenen Wiesenflächen und zahlreichen Gräben ab. Wir haben selten eine so vielfältige Vogelwelt beobahten können. An dem alten Mühlengraben direkt an der Terrasse konnten wir uns nicht satt sehen. Der Besitzer arbeitet auf der Farm des Grundstücks, seine Eltern wohnen im Nachbarhaus. Er hat sich stets viel Zeit genommen um Fragen zu beantworten oder aufgetretene Probleme zu lösen. Als engagierter Naturbursche bietet er den Gästen auch Führungen in die abwechslungsreiche Natur oder seine kleine Farm an. Das sehr hübsch anzusehende Haus selbst ist einfach eingerichtet und aufgrund fehlender Heizung m.E. nicht für die kalte Jahreszeit geeignet. Das Bad verfügt jedoch über eine Elektroheizung und der kleine Wohnraum über einen Kamin. Eine Grundausstattung ist vorhanden. Verbrauchsutensilien wie Toilettenpapier, Spülmittel, Geschirrspültabs etc. müssen aber selbst besorgt werden. Wir waren beeindruckt von der Leidenschaft und den ökologischen Grundgedanken, welche der Bewirtschaftung der Farm und der Ländereien zur Bereitstellung mannigfaltiger Biotope zugrunde liegen. Eine eindeutige Empfehlung für Naturliebhaber!

Oase van rust en natuur

Prachtig, luxe ingericht huisje op een heerlijk rustige plek midden in het Forêt de Lancosme. Heel aardige gastheer en -vrouw, en zoon die ook graag gebieden tipt om te bezoeken. In de directe omgeving kun je bijzondere vogels (purperreiger, koereiger, kwak, wielewaal, zomertortel), vlinders (boszandoog, blauwe ijsvogelvlinder), slangen, smaragdhagedis en zelfs edelherten (met jongen) aantreffen.

Wonderfully peaceful.

The most tranquil gite we have ever stayed in. Very well equipped and the rooms are cool on the hottest days. This is not a tourist area but has many beautiful gardens, chateaux and churches which have very few visitors. We were particularly impressed by the gardens at Apremont-sur-Allier, Valencay chateau which had a very interesting audio guide on the life of Talleyrand and the frescoes at Brinay, but we found somewhere different to visit every day. Our hosts, the Lombards, were charming and we wished we had more French to exploit M. Lombard's knowledge of nature. Listen out for the golden orioles which you are unlikely to see or watch the deer and hear the carp splashing.

Fantastische vakantie achter de rug. Zeer net en keurig vakantieverblijf. Aangename eigenaars. Hop, Wielewaal, Koekoek, Zomertortel, Kwak, spechten, Ijsvogel, Dwergvleermuiskolonies, Boomkikkers, Herten, salamanders, massa's vlinders (o.a. ook de Koningspage), libellen, krekels en sprinkhanen, … allemaal aanwezig op het domein zelf.

Keurige woning, alles aanwezig en goed verzorgd.

Mooie kleine woning. Bij aankomst alles netjes voor elkaar, en zelfs de haard werd aangemaakt. Zowel bedden, badkamer en keuken zijn netjes. Kamer is klein maar voldoet. Enige minpuntje zijn de Franse stoelen. Ziet er prachtig uit maar zitcomfort is minder. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren, maar voldoende privacy. Een aanrader als vakantie adres. Rust en ruimte. Elke dag genieten van de natuur. Super mooi wandelgebied.

Un coin de paradis !

Amoureux du calme et de la nature, nous avons trouvé au Domaine de Baratte un véritable coin de paradis. La tranquillité, le cadre, l'extrême gentillesse et la disponibilité de Mr et Mme Lombard ont contribué à nous donner des vacances inoubliables. La cerise sur le gâteau: les biches sur la prairie tous les matins et le brame du cerf pour terminer ce séjour. En résumé: superbe coin de nature, beauté du lieu, gentillesse des propriétaires, mmmhh ! les petits déjeuners et les repas délicieux de Mme Lombard. On peut cependant trouver un petit bémol: réseau téléphonique quasi inexistant!

Au calme dans la nature

La maison se situe dans un énorme domaine ou nous pouvions aisément observer la nature, les étangs, les biches, les oiseaux, les grenouilles... :-) Les propriétaires ont été de bon conseil pour les visites et nous ont prêté 3 vélos pour explorer les alentours. Superbe endroit ! A conseiller vivement !

Himmlische Ruhe

Das Feriendomizil liegt im Herzen Frankreichs in einem Naturschutzpark. Viele bei uns kaum mehr vorhandene Schmetterlinge und Vögel (Landkärtchen; großes Ochsenauge, Schillerfalter, Segelfalter; Wiedehopf, Pirol) waren ständige Gäste am Haus. Das Quartier ist Teil eines liebevoll restaurierten Gebäudeensembles aus dem 14. Jhdt; ein Gebäude wird von den sehr herzlichen Besitzern bewohnt. Es ist komplett und komfortabel eingerichtet (u. a. Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine(!, verzichtbar). In einer sorgfältig zusammengestellten Mappe findet der Gast alle notwendigen Informationen; Prospekte über die nähere Umgebung sind ebenfalls reichlich vorhanden. Die Informationen bei FeWo-direkt entsprechen vollständig den Tatsachen. Uns haben besonders die unmittelbare Naturnähe und die himmlische Ruhe begeistert.

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine. Ce gite est un havre de paix idyllique ou nous avons gouté un repos mérité chaque soir après avoir découvert cete superbe région, méconnue et cela est bien dommage. Le gite est décoré avec goût et donne envie de se prélasser. Nous avons adoré prendre nos repas sur la terrasse en profitant du cadre. Notre fille a également profité du lieu, usé et abusé de la balancoire. No hôtes charmants ont du avoir des expériences bien malheureuses avec de précédents locataires pour se préoccuper autant de la bonne tenue de l'intérieur du gite. En conclusion, nous avons adoré et reviendront avec plaisir.

Une "petite" maison dans la prairie ! Chambre et table d'hôtes inoubliables dans un cadre de rêve, tranquille et préservé ! Magnifique et immense parc boisé bordé d'étangs où il est possible de se promener au milieu des p'tits oiseaux, papillons et libellules où il n'est pas rare d'entendre des biches et leur faon... Le bonheur est dans le pré, niché en vrai au Moulin de Baratte, superbement restauré et au milieu coule une rivière où évolue une multitude de poissons. La table d'hôte est "remarquable", la cuisinière hors-pair et les confitures du petit déjeuner sont "divines" ! Tout est pensé, décoré avec "goût" et les propriétaires Maurice et Chantal aiment discuter, partager avec leurs hôtes et savent recevoir avec une grande gentillesse. Une expérience à renouveler ou à découvrir absolument... Testés et approuvés : Christine, Jean-Marie et Lucie, "amoureux de la nature et de la Brenne" et des maisons de caractère et d'exception... Ce lieu est fait pour vous ! Fait le 30 mai 2017, testé le week-end de l'Ascension du 25 au 28 mai 2017.

Séjour très agréable.

Nous avons passé une agréable semaine dans ce lieu idyllique, au contact de la nature. Moment féérique le matin et le soir lorsque nous apercevions les biches... Nous avons apprécié le confort du gîte et l'accueil chaleureux des propriétaires. Cette région mérite d'être visitée. Jacqueline et Yves.
