About this property
Charming 17th-Century listed Manor Farmhouse, on an organic Oxfordshire farm.
Our 17th-century old English farmhouse sits within a peaceful organic farm, surrounded by open fields, historic barns and peaceful river walks. It’s only 20 minutes from central Oxford, Bicester Village and the Cotswolds yet completely immersed in quiet countryside, making it an ideal escape for families and groups wanting space, comfort and fresh air.
The space:
The farmhouse sleeps 12 across six comfortable bedrooms, with two bathrooms and an additional downstairs toilet. The layout works well for big families or groups, with plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling crowded.
At the heart of the house is a large, well-equipped kitchen featuring an old-fashioned Everhot AGA, plenty of workspace and a farmhouse table perfect for casual breakfasts or relaxed evening meals. From the kitchen you can head into the traditional dining room—great for more formal dinners—or the drawing rooms, which offers a quieter setting for reading, conversation or winding down after the day.
For low-key time together, the sitting room provides a cosy space to watch TV, play games, or simply relax and unwind with family.
There are log fires in all the principal rooms and we can provide logs.
A spacious boot room sits by the entrance and is especially useful for muddy shoes, dogs, wet coats and anything else that comes with exploring the countryside.
Outdoors
Guests have full access to the farmhouse garden, complete with outdoor seating for meals or morning coffee. The old tennis court, now makes a perfect spot for a game of croquet or simply to lie about on a blanket, and the apple orchard is a lovely spot for a peaceful stroll.
Right outside the door, footpaths lead through the farm’s fields, past the old barns and down to the river. It’s a beautiful walking area—easy, scenic and safe, with plenty of open space for children and dogs. There is a circular walk to two glorious pubs and three churches.
Location
Although the farmhouse feels completely rural, Oxford is just a 15-minute drive away, with a train station (Oxford Parkway) and bus stops within 5 miles, giving you the best of both worlds: peaceful countryside at home and world-class museums, restaurants, and shops within easy reach. The surrounding area also offers charming pubs, local farm shops, and scenic walking or cycling routes.
The farmhouse is ideal for families, group stays and anyone wanting a peaceful break with plenty of outdoor space and easy access to Oxford or the Cotswolds. It’s comfortable, practical and full of character—an easy place to settle into and enjoy.

We run an Organic herd of Old English Longhorn Cattle on a small estate which has changed very little since the Domesday Book.
The farmhouse became the principal house on the estate, when the manor burnt down in 1887, and having been completely refurbished is now available to rent.
