Nous avons réservé cet hôtel un peu sur un coup de tête. Après notre réservation en ligne, nous avons appelé pour la confirmer. La personne au téléphone (qui s'avérera être la gérante) nous demande de patienter. Jusque-là, rien d'anormal... sauf qu'au lieu d'une mise en attente, nous l'entendons simplement poursuivre une conversation privée pendant plusieurs minutes. À notre arrivée, même impression : la gérante et un employé discutent derrière le comptoir, nous voient arriver mais ne nous saluent pas. Ce n'est qu'en constatant notre légitime agacement que l'employé procède enfin à notre enregistrement. Nous découvrons également que le petit-déjeuner, facturé 15 € par personne, n'est pas inclus. Chambre Avec près de 30 °C à l'extérieur, la chambre, située sous les toits, nous attend avec les tentures ouvertes et sans climatisation. Heureusement, un ventilateur est disponible. Les principaux points négatifs : • chambre très exiguë ; • fine couette malgré la chaleur, sans simple drap ; • aucun savon au lavabo ; • télévision hors service ; • propreté insuffisante : toile d'araignée au plafond, poussière et moutons derrière la table de chevet et sous le lit (peu recommandé lorsque l'on est asthmatique). Point positif : le Wi-Fi fonctionne correctement. Restaurant Nous avons choisi de dîner sur place par facilité. Le service, assuré par ce qui semblait être des étudiants, était lent et hésitant, ce qui reste compréhensible. En revanche, la cuisine ne suit pas : pizza à la pâte insuffisamment cuite et truite meunière à 23 € (quand elle coûte 5€ de moins au restaurant voisin), trop cuite, baignant dans le beurre à l'ail, accompagnée d'une garniture très pauvre. La taille de la truite est également décevante pour un établissement situé à deux pas de la Semois… Mention spéciale pour le banana split qui a failli ne pas être servi parce que « le chef n'avait plus de glace à la banane »... Il a fallu lui rappeler qu'un banana split ne se prépare pas avec de la glace à la banane. Mais du coup, il était bon, malgré sa chantilly industrielle. Un rapport qualité-prix clairement insuffisant. Petit-déjeuner À 15 € par personne, nous nous attendions à une prestation plus soignée. Le buffet est très basique : pas d'œufs, peu de choix en salé, fruits peu engageants (pomme fripée, bananes brunes). La personne chargée du réassort semblait complètement dépassée, la machine à café qui tombe en panne parce que pas vidée à temps… Vers 9 h, il n'y avait déjà plus d'assiettes disp
