About this property

3 Bed in Ravenglass (oc-e32106)

Serving as the gateway to a stunning Lakeland estate, this fantastic lodge offers fresh and airy holiday accommodation for up to six guests eager to enjoy a truly relaxing break in tranquil surroundings. The cottage sits below Muncaster Fell (1 mile) in the heart of the magnificent Eskdale Estate which is also home to a fabulous 18-hole golf course. Heading west, the characterful coastal village of Ravenglass (2 miles) has a choice of great places to eat and drink, with attractions including Muncaster Castle and Gardens, the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway, and the remains of the Ravenglass Roman Bath House. The serene Drigg Sand Dunes lie to the northwest (6.5 miles), with Wast Water to the northeast (10 miles). Walkers can head further inland to attempt the local peaks of Scafell Pike, Great Gable and Hard Knott, all within 15 miles.

Entering this inviting property, the beautifully decorated first lounge features a big bay window, a TV and ample seating, providing a quiet space for you all to unwind after a great day exploring this unforgettable corner of the Lake District. There’s more room to unwind in the delightful second lounge, again with a TV, plush seating and a large bay window, as well as a traditional wood burner. Exploring the ground floor further, the characterful country-style kitchen/diner is fully equipped and has a central dining table alongside plenty of workspace and storage space. Heading upstairs, you will find a refreshing bathroom and a choice of three cheerful bedrooms, all decorated in warm neutral shades: there are two relaxing double rooms and a cosy twin, all enjoying peaceful rural views.

Stepping outside, there’s a lovely large garden, fully enclosed and with outdoor furniture, offering plenty of space for children and pets to run about. Off-road parking is available for two cars.
