About this property

3 Bed in Beer (oc-f32429)

Gather friends and family for a laid-back coastal escape in this charming cottage at the heart of Beer. Sleeping six guests over three floors, it’s the perfect hideaway for those craving a slower pace and a taste of seaside village life. Step out the door and into the heart of Beer, where you’ll find quaint fishermen’s cottages, cosy pubs, and welcoming restaurants serving up the freshest local seafood and plenty of bespoke shops to browse. The village’s rugged beach is perfect for rock pooling, fossil hunting, or hopping on a boat to catch your own supper. Nearby attractions include family favourite Pecorama (just 0.5 miles away), with its scenic gardens, steam train rides, and brilliant play areas. Beer Quarry Caves are a mile up the road for a fun visit. A short drive west brings you to Sidmouth — a classic seaside resort with a pebbled beach, charming Regency buildings, and plenty of spots for ice cream, sea swims and the famous Donkey Sanctuary.

Enter the porch and kick off your sandy shoes, hang your coats and enter into the lounge area with sofas ready to snuggle you into relaxation, set around a TV and gas fire. Through to the kitchen diner, enjoy family mealtimes around the spacious dining table adjacent to the well-equipped kitchen with plenty of space for meal preparation. At the top of the stairs you’ll find the family bathroom, with a shower over the bath and WC. To the right is a double bedroom with views over the rear garden. Down the corridor is another bedroom offering a king size bed and a cosy night’s rest. Climb one more flight to discover a cosy twin room nestled in the eaves, where a large Velux window floods the space with daylight.

Outside to the rear is a paved courtyard space with dining table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining. There's a useful second fridge freezer in the courtyard shed. Wander the garden steps up to a second tier with stoned area leading to a blissful summer house and garden bench, perfect for a spot of reading.
