About this property

3 Bed in Cyfronydd (oc-e32742)

Offering spacious, fresh and elegant accommodation for up to six guests, this beautifully updated property has been tastefully furnished and stylishly decorated to make a fantastic holiday home along the Wales/England border. The property lies in a tranquil spot just outside the picturesque town of Llanfair Caereinion, which has three friendly pubs and is home to the popular steam trains of the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway. Nearby Welshpool (8 miles) is a bustling market town with a wealth of great places to eat and drink, overlooked by the impressive 13th-century sandstone-built Powis Castle. Heading south, you can visit the gorgeous Glansevern Hall Gardens near Berriew (8.5 miles) and then on to the ruins of Montgomery Castle (12.5 miles). The area is rich in breath-taking walks, with the magnificent landscapes of the ancient Offa’s Dyke National Trail passing close by. The golden sandy beaches of Barmouth, southern Snowdonia's most popular seaside resort, are approximately an hour's drive away.

Entering this enchanting hideaway, head through to the sumptuous lounge where you will find a welcoming wood burner, ample seating and a Smart TV. Continuing through, the light-filled kitchen/diner has plenty of space and equipment for preparing and sharing family feasts. Exploring further, there’s a characterful snug with a library and a games area with a football table and French doors leading out to the quiet private patio. The ground floor also has a handy boot room and WC. Heading upstairs, you’ll have a choice of three spacious bedrooms: a charming twin room which can be made up as a super king-size on request, and two cheerful king-size rooms – one with its own en-suite shower room. All the bedrooms offer beautiful views to wake up to. The accommodation also features a stylish family bathroom.

Heading outside, the delightful private garden is a haven for birdwatching and wildlife spotting. Relax and unwind in your own private hot tub during your stay, the perfect way to enjoy a peaceful escape and soak up the stunning surroundings. The patio has a BBQ and plenty of outdoor furniture so you can unwind in the sun. The cottage is surrounded by 5 acres of peaceful woodlands and gardens for you to explore, with fishing rights along the river. Parking is available for two cars to the front of the property, and there’s also space in the garden for bikes, with hot and cold taps for washing down bikes and muddy dogs.
