You’ll find a multitude of walking and cycling routes to explore in the surrounding area, across open moorland and through scenic valleys. The market town of Garstang is only 6 miles away, with it's historic narrow alleyways which provide an interesting an unexpected diversion to many hidden shops, restaurants and cafes, along with a few pubs to grab a drink after a busy day. Pendle Hill (23 miles) is a particular highlight, offering spectacular views across Ribble Valley and even as far as Blackpool on a clear day. Further afield, outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy excursions to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales (both within 30 miles). Step back in time on a visit to the unspoilt villages of Downham (20 miles) and Slaidburn (18 miles), or head into the city of Preston (13 miles) where you’ll find shops, restaurants, museums, and a bustling waterfront. The cottage is also within easy reach of the Lancashire coast, including the seaside town of Cleveleys (20 miles) and the sweeping sands of Morecambe Bay (17 miles).


Enter the charming cottage into the porch, where you can store muddy boots and outdoor gear. From here, move through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which features a beautiful tiled floor and a cosy wood burner nestled in an original stone fireplace. Unwind here, after a day of adventure, rustling up delicious dinners in the stylish kitchen area to share together at the sleek breakfast bar. In the evenings, sink into one of the sumptuous sofas to watch a film on the Smart TV. A handy utility room rounds off the ground floor. Upstairs, choose from a spacious, super-king-size bedroom or a relaxing double. A contemporary shower room completes the accommodation.
