Or head up the tower where there are two more double bedrooms on the second and third floors which fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. Outside, an unenclosed grassy garden has outdoor furniture for dining alfresco and there’s private parking for six cars.
The Georgian market town of Holt (7.5 miles) boasts independent shops, cafes and restaurants and has an expansive country park. You can also hop on the Poppy Line steam train to the seaside town of Sheringham (14 miles). Nature lovers can see grey seals at Blakeney (14 miles) and an array of birds at Cley next the Sea (11.5 miles) and visit the wildlife park at Pensthorpe (7 miles).
