Located on the edge of the small rural village of Balmaclellan and just a few minutes' drive from New Galloway and St John's Town of Dalry, Craignair is the perfect base for a relaxing Scottish escape. This traditional, semi-detached two-storey home, set within its own woodland garden has been fully renovated to provide comfortable accommodation for up to four guests, with views across open farmland and moorland.
Set in the upland landscape of the Glenkens of Galloway, Craignair offers a peaceful rural setting while remaining within easy reach of the Solway and Ayrshire coasts, as well as the magnificent Galloway Forest Park.
Craignair is surrounded by plants and wildlife is in close proximity including Red Squirrels, Hares and a variety of birdlife. There are accessible waterfall and woodland walks from the doorstep.
The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. There is easy access to outstanding walking routes, including the renowned Southern Upland Way, Southern Scotland's coast-to-coast long-distance footpath. The nearby Galloway Forest Park, famous for its Dark Sky Park status offers superb opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, and stargazing.
