Located on the north end of Wrightsville Beach, Dune Ridge Resort is one the the islands' best resort condo communities. The Ocean Dune condo at Dune Ridge is located on the 3rd floor and offers fantastic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the beach. Step inside and find this 3 bedroom 2 bath condo furnished with bright and beach decor and modern touches. The open living area provides plenty of space for the family and encompasses the living area, dining area, and kitchen bar seating. It features large ocean front windows and ocean balcony, perfect for soaking up the views and relaxing outside. Bedroom 1 provides king size bed, bedroom 2 provides a queen size bed and twin, while the master bedroom provides a king size bed and en suite bath. The Dune Ridge Resort is nestled on the quite north end of Wrightsville Beach and offers a tennis court, half court basket ball, and resort style pool. Getting to and from the beach is gated for resort guests only, and offers outdoor showers to rinse the sand before dipping into the pool. Great choice for easy beach access

Our stay at this property was wonderful. We had beautiful ocean views and quick beach access. My kids enjoyed the porch, beach and pool - where we stayed for most of our stay! We did run into issues with lack of communication regarding a parking pass, which was not present in our welcome packet. We made it work with a note on our windshield. Otherwise, this was a wonderful stay for our family.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and amenities are wonderful. The place could have used a better cleaning and bathrooms need updating. Keep in mind they provide sheets but you have to make the beds yourself. In doing that I saw years of dust bunnies under and behind beds.

Beautiful spot right on the beach, despite enduring a Tropical Storm. We loved being on a more quiet end of the beach but within minutes of all we needed. Perfect space for the 6 of us, good layout and great value. The rental process through Wrightsville Sands was easy, timely and they were very pleasant to work with. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We usually vaca in Florida, but wanted to try something new. When we first drove into Wrightsville Beach, we were concerned that it was busier and much more crowded than we expected, but just a short drive out of town, we found uncrowded beaches. We enjoyed walking to the coffee shops in the early morning, swimming at the resort area pool, looking for shells on the beach, and sitting on the condo balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine. The location of the condo was not too far from downtown Wilmington, where we enjoyed the riverfront area and an excellent ghost tour. (But, beware of the parking fines. They do not play! We saw parking monitors (a private business, much like the speed cameras) ticketing cars throughout the downtown area.)

Property was just as advertised in the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook. The water does have a sulphur smell, but that is part of being on beach water and is expected. We would definitely stay here again.

The beach is certainly beautiful and there are many fun adventures to do and many great restaurants.The view from our condo was amazing and overall the condo was in good shape. I feel the cleaning crew could have done a better job. The property manager was very helpful and responsive! The pool are was gorgeous and was a quick walk to the beach. It was neat to see the beach and hear the waves from our balcony and we could also see the inter-coastal when we walked out our entrance door.We will certainly come back!

1. The condo is in need of updates. The bathrooms have lighting that constantly makes noise. The drains in the tub don’t drain at all or hold water. That is for both bathrooms. The commodes need replacing . I read a review from 2018 that someone had written about the bathrooms. The response from the realtor was the owners would be doing that in the off season. If I had read that I would of checked to see if it had been done. Of course it is now 2021 and it hasn’t been done . 2. WiFi- is not secure - should of been told that. 3. No Rubbermaid or any containers with lids for leftovers. 4. The tv in the living room quit working on our last night . 5. The dryer squeaked the whole time. You couldn’t stay in the condo while drying clothes. The realty manager did get back with me on the dryer and came out twice but it never got fixed. I will never use this realty company again or rent at this condo facility. J

Beautiful Rental with some BUTs

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful rental with a few exceptions. The rental agency, Wrightsville Sands Realty should have done a better job. First they were very difficult to contact. I had to call and text multiple times to get a response concerning our rental and payments. After arriving Sands Realty never contacted us to see how our vacation was going. Maybe a simple call to see if everything was ok would have been appropriate. We called because the screen door had a small rip and they said that someone would come by. When no one did we repaired it ourselves using some scotch tape. Lastly, the next to last day we told them that the water smelled awful. They said it was because of Sulfur and it was because the well water table was too low. That was ok but all they had to do was tell us before that we might experience a problem. All in all Wrightsville Sands Realty could do a better job. They should be more professional, be easier to contact, and maybe give renters better information about the rental and things in the area.

Girlfriend time

Condo was perfect for our group of 4 girlfriends. We wanted a quick escape for a long weekend. Beach views are fantastic and we throughly enjoyed the balcony. Our only suggestion is to please buy some wine glasses ( there was only 1)

Heaven at the beach

We loved it and would like to come back for a full week this summer! The pool, beach and area are top notch. We really loved the layout of the condo! I would recommend having a bottle of cleaner in the unit so guests can clean counters and range after use. The shower rod in second bath kept falling down while the kids were showering.

When we arrived one of the comforters had vomit on it and we had to wash and dry before using. The temps were mild that weekend but the A/C still couldn't cool below 74 degrees until around 2 AM. Unit appears to need a remodel.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location of this property and the ocean views were spectacular. However it is very dated with tons of deferred maintenance. Neither of the bathtubs drained properly and within a minute you were standing in dirty, sandy water. We had an infant with us and she was unable to take a bath! The shower door in the hall bath was off track and was swinging freely, which was very dangerous. In the master bath the shower curtain was very dirty and yellowed. The water smelled like sulfur!! I called the rental office and was told to let the water run to flush the lines - didn't work. Then I called Wrightsville Beach town hall and they said all the water on the beach smelled like that. That's simply not true!!. The hot water smelled particularly bad. We had to go buy bottled water for drinking and cooking. The rug in the family room was filthy and with a baby crawling around it was terrible. The table cloth on the dining table was very dirty and stained. Even the blankets for the beds smelled. We will not be returning to this rental and I don't recommend it to anyone else until some of the issues have been addressed

Reviewer Comments: The ocean view from the covered porch at this condo is lovely and there was plenty of furniture on the porch to accommodate everyone. The furniture in the living room was comfortable, and it was nice to have a pool available on property. However, the walk to the beach from this unit is very long. The bathrooms appear to be original from about 1988 and are in desperate need of updating. The master shower doesn't drain and the shower curtain liner needs to be replaced. The worst thing was that the water from all the faucets smells like sulfur. It was pretty awful. By the end of the trip we didn't even want to shower anymore.

Most importantly the beds were comfortable, the living space was great for 6 people and the views you look at all day can’t be beat! The only improvement I would suggest is making sure all lights were working properly and the a/c ducts and filters are always clean.
