Enjoying the very best of the rugged Cornish countryside and coastline, this charming 200-year-old stone barn conversation offers the perfect setting for a long-awaited reunion with family and friends.
Beneath the rustic stone exterior, you’ll find a haven of contemporary charm in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner at the heart of this home-from-home. The high, beamed ceiling creates a welcome sense of space whilst the roaring wood burner sets a truly warming ambience that invites tired travellers to unwind with loved ones. If you’ve got plenty of energy left, head upstairs to the mezzanine level to let off some steam in the games room as you overlook the beauty of the open-plan living space. Across the ground floor and first floor, you’ll find four bedrooms, one en-suite king-size, one en-suite double and two twins, which all share the same charm and character as the rest of this cosy retreat. Outside, the large, enclosed lawn provides the perfect spot for children and dogs to play whilst the decked terrace is perfect for dining alfresco long into the evening. Outside, you’ll also find private parking for three cars.
Referred to as the Cornish Riviera, head to the seaside town Downderry (1 mile) to enjoy a cream tea from a local café before skimming stones out to sea at Downderry Beach; at low tide, you can walk from Downderry Beach to Seaton (1.5 miles) across a narrow stretch of sand. At the foot of the wooded Hessenford Valley, the sheltered Seaton Beach a mile away is perfect for water sports whilst the Seaton Wetlands 1.5 miles away offers wonderful walks alongside the River Axe. Uncover South Cornwall’s maritime character and rich heritage by exploring the charming fishing villages of Looe (8 miles) and Polperro (12.5 miles).
