About this property
Cotswolds Farmhouse Cottage
Escape to the Cotswolds in our newly renovated guest cottage, nestled beside a 17th-century Grade II listed barn. Set on a working farm, it offers a peaceful countryside retreat with a taste of authentic farm life. Perfect for couples or families, the cottage is surrounded by nature yet only minutes from Burford, Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, and Cotswold highlights such as Jeremy Clarkson’s Farmers Dog pub and the Cotswold Wildlife Park.
Inside, the space blends English country charm with mid-century styling. There is a full kitchen, dining space and living room, a separate bedroom and a bathroom with shower. In the kitchen, there’s a fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, gas stove and oven. The dining table seats 4 comfortably. The living area has a smart TV and a super comfortable double sofa bed with linen bedding and a mattress topper. The bedroom features a king-size bed, blackout curtains, and Georgian style wood panelling. There is a small chest of drawers and hooks on the door if you need to hang clothing. In the bathroom there is a large shower, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Step through to the old-stable yard to a BBQ area with outdoor seating, and make the most of the garden orchard, perfect for kids or an evening drink under the stars. The cottage sits across the garden from the farmhouse. The farmyard is situated behind, separated by a stone wall. We farm predominately wheat, barley and oil seed rape, as well as keeping sheep in the meadow next to the farmhouse. A family-run, rural estate in the heart of the English countryside, offering beautifully presented accommodation and a tranquil rural escape.
Children stay free. Extra guest charges apply to additional adults only. Any extra charges applied to children will be refunded after booking. Private covered parking on site.
Other things to note
Access - The cottage is located about 1 km down a bumpy farm track which can be muddy in winter. All cars are fine down the drive, but please do drive slowly. Dog Info - We have a very friendly Labrador who is great around adults and children. If anyone in your group is nervous around dogs, just let us know, and we’ll ensure no contact.
