About this property
Grand 7-bed Georgian lodge with cinema room, snooker/dining table, private gardens and dog-friendly spaces. Walk to pub, sleep everyone comfortably, ideal for families and groups.
Marsham Lodge is a large Georgian home built for families and groups who want to stay together properly. Privately set at the end of a gravel drive, it offers generous living spaces, a cinema room, snooker/dining table and multiple outdoor areas, including enclosed dog-friendly spaces. Peaceful and private, yet under a 10-minute walk to the village pub and well placed for exploring Norfolk.
Guests enjoy full privacy. We’re available if needed and provide clear arrival details and local guidance before check-in.
Marsham is a friendly Norfolk village with The Plough pub under a 10-minute walk away. Marsham Heath offers nearby walks. Aylsham and Blickling Estate are a short drive, with Norwich, the Broads and the North Norfolk coast all easily reached.
Guests have private access to the house, driveway and gardens listed. The rear garage building is private and not accessible.
Marsham Lodge is a house that genuinely works for large groups. It’s been set up so everyone can be together when they want to be, but no one ever feels on top of each other.
The Georgian proportions make a huge difference — tall ceilings, wide rooms and solid walls mean the house feels calm even when full. You can have kids watching films in the cinema room, a game of snooker in the dining room, and others chatting in the kitchen or lounge, all at the same time.
The dining room is a real standout. Seating up to fourteen, it’s ideal for long meals, celebrations and shared evenings, and the table converting into a snooker table turns the space into a social hub rather than a “sit-down-once-a-day” room.
The kitchen is practical and social rather than showy. The island seating makes it easy for people to gather for coffee, prep meals together or keep each other company without getting underfoot. The nearby snug works perfectly for quieter breakfasts or for kids to escape with the TV.
Outside space is flexible and well thought through. There are enclosed areas where dogs can safely roam, plus larger open lawns and meadow areas that give the house a real sense of space and countryside. The pizza oven and table tennis add simple, fun extras that work for mixed-age groups.
Parking is effortless. With a long private driveway and space for six or more cars, arrivals are stress-free and no one needs to juggle vehicles during the stay.
Overall, Marsham Lodge suits guests who want a grand, comfortable home where memories are made, rather than a polished show-home. It’s ideal for families, reunions and milestone trips — relaxed, private and designed for real use.
A car is recommended. Private off-road parking is available for six or more vehicles.
This is a sociable family home, not a party venue. Celebrations are welcome if the house is respected and left in good condition.
Dogs are welcome by arrangement. £35 per dog for the full stay, maximum of four. Some garden areas are enclosed and dog-proof; lower lawns and meadow areas are open.
