The Yellow House - Where sea, mountains and silence meet in Northern Norway
A yellow house glowing against the rugged Norwegian landscape 🌊✨
Welcome to our yellow house in Northern Norway: a warm, comfortable retreat surrounded by nature. The house features two cozy bedrooms with blackout curtains and a bright living area with direct access to the veranda. From here, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and Senja—ever-changing throughout the day and always impressive.
The fully equipped kitchen invites long, relaxed dinners. Underfloor heating and a washing machine add extra comfort, even after a full day outdoors. Step straight from the house into the Børingen area, where beautiful hikes lead you through mountains, forests, and along the water.
Adventure and culture are close by: the express boat to Tromsø and Harstad departs daily from the harbor just 10 minutes away. A hike to Dyrøygommen and the impressive Atlantic Wall are easily accessible. A supermarket and restaurant are also only a 10-minute drive away.
Winter in Northern Norway means adventure, silence, and magic—every step an experience. Here you feel the rhythm of the high north at its most enchanting. Join a husky sled tour on Senja and be guided by an eager team of dogs through silent valleys and across snow-covered plains. The only sounds are the glide of the sled and the breathing of the huskies—pure, powerful, unforgettable.
Prefer to explore at your own pace? With snowshoes, you can effortlessly move through the winter landscape. Walk across untouched snow, through forests, and to viewpoints where the world feels wonderfully still. Perfect for those who truly want to feel nature, far away from the crowds.
In winter, the Northern Lights dance above the house—green, purple, and sometimes red, moving across the dark sky and reflected in the sea before you. From the veranda—warm, quiet, and far from light pollution—you can experience this natural phenomenon as if it were put on just for you. No guarantees, but often pure wonder.
In summer, night gives way to the midnight sun. The sun slowly dips toward the horizon but never fully disappears. The landscape is bathed for hours in a golden glow, perfect for late-night walks, peaceful moments on the veranda, or endless evenings without any sense of time.
Two seasons, two completely different worlds—both unforgettable.
Peace, space, and raw beauty—this is Northern Norway at its very best. 💛
