Hay-on-Wye, the town of books, is within easy reach as are medieval Ludlow, the cathedral city of Hereford with its medieval bridge spanning the River Wye, Mappa Mundi world map and Chained Library. The magnificent Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons National Park also make a great day out. Surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside including Offa's Dyke and the Golden Valley, this is an excellent location for walking and cycling trails as well as sampling wonderful local produce at a local cheese factory, vineyard and cider farms.
