Just a short stroll from the estate, the picturesque beaches of East Haven and West Haven offer sandy shores, rock pools, and shallow waters ideal for family paddling and dog-friendly walks.

East Haven, one of Scotland’s oldest fishing villages, is steeped in history and local charm, providing a peaceful escape with breathtaking natural beauty. A little further along the coast lies Carnoustie, a welcoming seaside town known worldwide for its championship golf course. Here, visitors can enjoy a range of local amenities including cafés, pubs, and independent shops, as well as a wide beachfront perfect for beachcombing, picnicking, or simply soaking up the sea air. The town is easily reached on foot or by bike, making The Carriage House an excellent base for exploring the area without needing a car.
