Its bustling weekly markets and the striking spire of St James’ Church—one of the tallest of its kind in England—give the town a lively and welcoming atmosphere.
Beyond Louth lies the Lincolnshire Wolds, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering rolling hills, far-reaching views and tranquil footpaths. Walkers and cyclists will find countless routes to explore, including gentle tracks starting right from the farm. Located on the ground floor of the historic Coach House, the Saddle Room was originally built in the 18th century to stable the Brackenborough Hall horses. Today it offers comfortable accommodation for 3–4 guests. The open-plan living area includes seating, a dining table, TV and DVD player, while the well-equipped kitchen features a dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave and washing machine with drier. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, and the single room with garden views includes an additional pull-out bed. A double sofa bed in the living area provides extra flexibility. The bathroom offers both a bath with overhead shower and a separate wet-floor shower. Original features such as hay racks, a manger and herringbone brick floors add character, while central heating, free Wi-Fi, and all linens and towels ensure comfort. Guests also enjoy the Coach House garden, play area, lawns, farm walks, table tennis, parking and seasonal produce.
