Simple and authentic space for travelers seeking calm.
The property is a rural, natural setting next to Lake Atitlán, where you can experience country life: insects, mosquitoes, and animals are all part of the experience, as are the sounds of nature. Life here is simple and peaceful, ideal for those seeking to disconnect and connect directly with the environment; this is not a place for those looking for luxury or hotel-style amenities.
During your stay, you’ll have access to basic shared food supplies so you can cook for yourself. These include oil, vinegar, rice, beans, wheat flour, eggs, corn tortillas, and muesli (oats, peanuts, and raisins), as well as seasonal fresh produce such as pineapple, cauliflower, broccoli, bell peppers, tomatoes, garlic, onions, courgette, aubergine, cabbage, sweet potatoes, carrots, radishes, beetroot, and green beans. You’ll also have access to a variety of seasonings and spices: salt, sugar, pepper, cumin, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger, paprika, oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary, sage, and mint. Availability may vary depending on the season and local market.
Guests are expected to be respectful, self-reliant, and mindful of the environment and resources. This place is perfect for enjoying peace and quiet, nature, and a simple, unhurried, and authentic lifestyle.
Although I’m not always on-site, I’m available via message in Spanish, English, or French for any questions or arrangements before and during your stay.
Eliseo, our caretaker, is on site and is usually there Monday through Saturday mornings for about 4 hours. He can help you use the common areas (kitchen, shower, bathroom) and show you around the property to ensure your stay is comfortable and hassle-free.
The space is shared with other guests and with people participating as volunteers through programmes such as Workaway, WWOOFing, and Worldpackers. Life here is peaceful, respectful, and based on each person’s autonomy.
Keeping the common areas tidy and clean is the responsibility of everyone living here. When I’m on the property, I pitch in with these tasks just like everyone else. This is not a lodging facility with professional housekeeping services, nor does it operate like a hotel; rather, it functions as a communal and self-sufficient space.
Each guest can enjoy the place at their own pace: relaxing, connecting with nature, or spending time with others—always respecting the harmony of the environment and the community.
