About the host

Hello, I’m Eira, and I manage Cartref Barn in Trelawnyd on behalf of its owner, Paul. I take great pride in welcoming guests to this peaceful corner of North Wales and creating a stay that feels both relaxed and memorable.

I’m naturally calm, organised, and attentive to detail, ensuring everything runs smoothly so you can fully unwind. I enjoy walking, music, yoga, and cooking, and I’m always happy to share recommendations for scenic local walks and hidden gems in the area.

Your privacy is always respected so you can settle in and feel completely at home, but I’m just a message away if you need anything during your stay.

I’d be delighted to host you at Cartref Barn.

Why they chose this property

What I love most about the area around this area is the sense of space, calm, and connection to nature. The surrounding woodland is a real highlight, perfect for peaceful walks, spotting wildlife, and switching off from busy day-to-day life.

Being outdoors here feels effortless, whether it’s a gentle morning stroll through the trees, a longer countryside walk, or simply sitting outside and taking in the fresh air and birdsong. It’s a place that naturally encourages you to slow down and recharge.

What makes this property unique

Cartref Barn feels special because it’s genuinely comfortable and peaceful, but still really well thought out. Inside, everything has been carefully put together, from the lighting to the quality bedding, so it feels cosy but also a bit of a treat. The log burner makes a big difference on cooler evenings and gives the whole place a really relaxed feel.

There’s plenty of space, both inside and out. The little log cabin in the garden is a lovely spot to sit with a coffee or a glass of wine and just look out over the garden, and the surrounding woodland adds to that sense of being tucked away and private. It’s very quiet and feels safe, like your own little retreat.

At the same time, you’re in a great spot. There are some really good local places to eat nearby, and you’re not far from the coast, which is beautiful. There’s loads to do in North Wales if you want to explore, and Chester and Liverpool are easy enough for a day trip.

It also works well if you need to bring work with you, as there’s a good, comfortable space to set up. Overall, it’s somewhere you can properly switch off, but still have plenty around you if you want it.
