The town of Lockerbie is set in the lowlands of Scotland, in the Dumfries and Galloway region. Lockerbie has a range of amenities including pubs, restaurants, a bakery and a pottery. There are also facilities for curling and ice skating, with golf, cycling, walking and birdwatching all on offer in the surrounding area. The region has a wealth of history, and sites like Caerlaverock Castle, Drumlanrig Castle and Glenluce Abbey attest to that. Less energetic pursuits include visits to the many museums and galleries as well as Scotland's official Book Town of Wigtown. Added to this is the proximity of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Carlisle and this location truly offers something for everyone.
