The cottage can accommodate up to 9 people in 4 very spacious bedrooms - all with good views. Each bedroom has wooden floors and is furnished with luxury beds.
The open plan ground floor of the cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished. The relaxing conservatory style dining room enjoys magnificent views. The well designed kitchen area will ensure that your self catering experience in Heather View will be as stress free as possible.
The cottage is located on the Rosguill Peninsula on the North Donegal coastline. This peninsula divides Sheephaven Bay and Mulroy Bay and contains dramatic scenery as well as many fine sandy beaches - including the superb Tra na Rossan strand. The famous Atlantic Drive is a short but very breathtaking road around the Peninsula. The drive is only about 12km long so you can best appreciate it if you cycle or walk. The walk can be comfortably completed in half a day. The spectacular Lough Salt Drive is also close by.
There are few areas of Ireland which enjoy such an unspoilt environment with a wealth of opportunity for open-air activities. Mountain climbing and hill walking are popular in this spectacular landscape with Muckish, Errigal and the Derryveagh mountains all easily reachable. Windsurfing, water-skiing, scuba diving, canoeing and sailing are popular activities in the general locality.
For the golf enthusiast there are four 18 hole courses in the vicinity - one in Carrigart itself, two at nearby Rosapenna and one in Dunfanaghy. Horse-riding, cycling, and painting are ever popular in this beautiful area. Cycle hire is available locally.
The majestic Glenveagh National Park, the family orientated Dunlewy Lakeside Centre, the beautiful Ards Forest Park and Letterkenny - Donegal's main town - are all within an hours drive of the cottage.
