The Space:

The living area carries the same warm sunset palette that defines the whole apartment, with original paintings and mosaic details adding texture and a real sense of place. The space is calm and sun filled, comfortable for reading or a long evening in, and a sofa bed accommodates a third guest when needed.The kitchenette is fully equipped for breakfast and light meals, with an espresso machine and a filter coffee maker for slow mornings and everything else you might need during your stay.The bedroom sits in a wooden loft that gives the apartment its signature character, reached by an internal staircase. The queen bed is dressed in fresh linens, and air conditioning keeps the loft comfortable through the warmer months.The private bathroom features a walk in shower, with toiletries. The private balcony looks out over the village rooftops and is the natural place to settle with a coffee in the morning or a glass of local wine in the evening, while the everyday rhythm of Agia Efimia unfolds below.WiFi runs throughout. The Neighborhood:

Agia Efimia sits on the eastern coast of Kefalonia, a traditional fishing village built around a sheltered cove and looking across the strait to Ithaca. Pine cloaked mountains rise behind the village and the Pylaros valley unfolds inland. Cleo sits right in the centre, with a well stocked supermarket directly opposite, a traditional bakery nearby, and a pharmacy, ATM, and laundry within a couple of minutes on foot. The harbour runs daily cruises to Ithaca and Lefkada, and is a port of call for sailing flotillas in summer.

The closest swim is at the village itself, where Agia Efimia beach offers calm pebble bays within around 200 metres of the apartment. Agia Paraskevi beach lies roughly 3 km south, a quiet pebble cove shaded by trees. Around 9 km south, beyond Sami, sits Antisamos, the dramatic Blue Flag pebble bay framed by emerald hills that featured in Captain Corelli's Mandolin. About 7 km north sits the Myrtos viewpoint, looking down on one of the finest beaches in Greece, with white pebbles and deep turquoise water.

Inland, Mount Agia Dynati rises to over 1,100 metres, the second highest peak on the island, with hiking trails through pine forest opening onto wide views over Ithaca and the Ionian Sea.

Melissani Lake, around 5 km away, is the cave of the nymphs where sunlight pours onto a turquoise underground lake (natural). Drogarati Cave, around 7 km away, descends 60 metres into a vast chamber of stalactites known for its acoustics (geological). Assos, with its Venetian fortress on a narrow isthmus, lies around 20 km away (historical), and Fiskardo, with its Venetian colours and yacht lined quay, sits around 33 km north (cultural).

Boat trips leave from the harbour to explore hidden coves, local cuisine leans on fresh fish and Robola wine from the slopes of Mount Ainos, and through summer the village hosts traditional festivals along the seafront.
