This charming house, built in 1954, is tastefully decorated in a rustic Scandinavian style and has plenty of character. Here you’ll find a home with plenty of space for everyone—five bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare homemade meals and enjoy them around the extra-wide dining table in the dining room, and a cozy living room. All rooms are painted in soothing colors and filled with natural light.
Blackout curtains on all windows ensure a good night’s sleep during bright summer nights, and three of the bedrooms offer a choice of bed width, so the kids can have more floor space if they only need a single mattress. Each room offers a lovely view of the beautiful natural surroundings.
This is a small farmstead surrounded by a sprawling garden where sheep graze in the summer. A narrow path leads down to the lake—perfect for fishing trips or gathering mussels and crabs. The greenhouse is a godsend on rainy days and fantastic for lazy days and late evenings.
The neighborhood is friendly, and the house stands almost on its own at the end of the small country road. Here you can find peace and quiet, outdoor activities, and fun things to do for the whole family. Within just over a half-hour drive, you’ll reach historic Bergen with Bryggen, Fløyen, the Aquarium, and its picturesque streets. For wild and beautiful nature, it’s a short trip to the exotic island of Fedje, wild sheep along the hiking trails at the Lynghei Center, majestic mountains, and the Hardangerfjord. “Norway in a nutshell” brings together famous West Coast gems in a day trip.
