About this property

Exclusive-use villa with private chef and heated pool, above Taghazout Bay

EMPIVA ATLAS — TAGHAZOUT BAY
Above Taghazout Bay, held quietly between the Atlantic and the High Atlas, Empiva Atlas is a three-bedroom villa taken on exclusive use. No reception, no neighbouring suite, no shared spaces — the villa, the heated pool, and the gardens are yours alone for the duration of your stay. The villa sleeps six.

THE BEDROOMS
The Principal Bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom with a hot tub bath, walk-in shower, and twin basins. It opens onto a private terrace running the length of the room, with views west to the Atlantic.

The Second Bedroom has a double bed and its own balcony, overlooking the heated pool with the Atlantic beyond.

The Third Bedroom is arranged with two single beds and looks out to the Atlas foothills — well suited to children, or to two guests sharing.

THE BATHROOMS
The Principal En-Suite serves the principal bedroom: hot tub bath, walk-in shower, twin basins.
A shared bathroom with a walk-in shower and basin serves the second and third bedrooms.
A ground floor guest toilet with twin basins is available for day use.

LIVING SPACES
The heart of the villa is an open-plan living space that opens through full-length sliding glass doors to the pool and gardens. The lounge holds two seating arrangements, a fireplace, and a television. The dining table seats six. An inner courtyard, planted with banana and kumquat, brings green light into the centre of the house.

The kitchen is fully equipped - gas hob, oven, dishwasher, and everything needed - and is yours to use freely, though most guests find the Villa Host takes care of the cooking.

OUTDOOR
The heated pool runs year-round, kept warm even through the cooler months. A terrace runs the length of the villa, with sun loungers, a shaded seating area, and a charcoal barbecue. The gardens fall toward the sea, with a swing seat set in the shade and a path leading to a viewing point over the bay. The upper floor has its own glass-balustraded terrace, looking out over the pool and the landscape beyond.

Within the residence, two minutes from the door: a private tennis court, a children's play area, and shaded seating that looks across the golf course to the Atlantic.

THE VILLA HOST, AND MEALS
A Villa Host attends the property each day from 8am to 5pm. Moroccan breakfast is laid out as the light comes up — bread, olive oil, honey, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, mint tea, and coffee — and is included with your stay. Lunch and dinner can be prepared on request, priced separately, with a day's notice for particular menus or dietary requirements.

After 5pm the villa is yours alone. If dinner has been arranged, it is composed before the Villa Host leaves and laid out for self-service. The terrace, gardens, and pool remain open to you through the evening.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Return airport transfers from Agadir–Al Massira Airport, arranged to meet your flight. Moroccan breakfast each morning. Daily housekeeping. Fibre internet throughout. Air conditioning and heating, independently controlled in every bedroom and living space. The villa is taken on exclusive use, with nothing added per guest - the rate is the same whether two stay or six.

THE SETTING
Empiva Atlas sits within a private residential community - gated, quietly guarded, discreet by design. The villa is triangulated between three landscapes: the Atlas foothills inland, the Atlantic to the west, and the Tassila golf course along the southern edge.

Five minutes beyond the gates: the Fairmont Taghazout Bay, with restaurants and a spa open to non-residents; the Tassila golf course; the sandy beach below the cliff, a short drive away; surf schools and the marina. Ten minutes north is Taghazout village, with its cafés, surf schools, and Sunday market. Thirty minutes south, Agadir city and the souk Al Had. Forty-five minutes inland, Paradise Valley - a palm-lined river canyon with rock pools. An hour and a half east, into the foothills, the walled red city of Taroudant.

THE EMPIVA ATLAS EXPERIENCES
Beyond the villa, Empiva curates a catalogue of private experiences across this region of Morocco - surfing, Paradise Valley at first light, the hammam, a day with a master silversmith, the souk, an evening of Moroccan music. Each is optional, planned in detail, and arranged at your pace through the villa team.

GOOD TO KNOW
Check-in is from 3pm; check-out by 10am. Quiet hours are observed from 9pm to 7am, in keeping with the residence. Smoking is welcome outdoors, on the terrace and in the gardens; the villa interior is non-smoking. The villa does not accommodate pets. There are four exterior security cameras - two at the front entrance and driveway, one at the pool, one at the side of the villa - with none inside the villa or facing any private space. The inner courtyard is home to two resident tortoises, who live there contentedly within its walls.

It is not about where you stay. It is about who you become while you are there.

About the host

Hosted by Empiva

Host profile image
Empiva is a private hospitality brand. We let exclusive-use villas in places worth slowing down for. Morocco first, with Empiva Atlas above Taghazout Bay — more to follow.

We began with a simple observation. Most people do not lack luxury. They lack space, stillness, and time that belongs to them. So we built something quieter. A villa that is yours alone, fully serviced, with no shared corridors and no crowd. A host who is present when you need them and unseen when you do not.

What we enjoy is the craft of it. The bed made so well you sleep differently. Breakfast by the pool before the heat arrives. A chef who cooks what the day asks for, nothing added and nothing missing. The small things, done properly, until the whole stay feels effortless.

We host because we believe a place can change how you feel, and how you feel can change rather more than that. A good villa is not only where you stay. It shapes who you are while you are there.

Two things hold us to a standard. Our word is our integrity - we do what we said we would do, at the time we said. And we keep to what is needed, and leave out the rest.
You will find us straightforward to deal with. Tell us how you like to live, and we will arrange the stay around it.

Why they chose this property

Taghazout Bay sits on the Atlantic, a little north of Agadir, where the coast still keeps its own pace. We chose it because it does two things at once. It faces the ocean, open and wide, and it holds the Atlas mountains at its back. Light comes in clean off the water in the morning and softens against the hills by evening. The villa takes its name from those mountains, Atlas, because the whole place feels held between sea and stone.

What we enjoy most is the rhythm of it. The day starts early and quietly. Fishermen are out before the cafés open. The heat arrives gently and leaves the same way. Argan trees grow in the hills above, and the region has tended them for generations. There is surf for those who want it, long beaches for those who do not, and a town that has stayed itself rather than becoming a postcard.

It is close enough to Agadir for anything you might need, and far enough to forget you needed it. Markets, the working harbour, mint tea poured high and slow - the ordinary life of the coast is all within reach, and none of it is staged for you.
We came for the quiet and the light. We stayed because the place asks nothing of you, which is rarer than it sounds.

What makes this property unique

Empiva Atlas is a private three-bedroom villa, and yours alone for the length of your stay. No shared spaces. No other guests. No front desk between you and the day. That sounds simple, but it changes everything about how a place feels.

It is fully serviced, which means the work happens quietly around you. The villa is kept, the pool tended, breakfast laid out by the water before the heat arrives. A chef cooks when you want one, and not when you don't - the kitchen stays yours either way. A host is present through the day and reachable beyond it. You are looked after without being managed.

What sets it apart is restraint. There is nothing here that does not need to be, and nothing missing that should be. The bed is made so well you notice. The light moves through the rooms the way it should. Everything is considered, and very little announces itself. This is luxury as space and stillness rather than spectacle.
And it holds its own ground between the Atlantic and the Atlas mountains - ocean light in the morning, the hills behind by evening. A villa that belongs to its place, kept to one standard, given over entirely to you.

It is not only where you stay. It shapes who you are while you are there.
