At the foot of Jernhatten and with panoramic views of Kattegat and Hjelm, you can enjoy a fantastic retreat. Here you are located right in the middle of one of the country's most beautiful natural areas and surrounded by light, intimacy and exclusivity.
For the last 10 years the old mill house has been uninhabited, but after a loving restoration with respect for history and focus on sustainability and good materials, you can once again enjoy this stunning and historic place. It is furnished with a large living room with exposed rafters to the roof and from the functional and beautiful kitchen there is a direct view to the water. The kitchen has everything the savvy food enthusiast needs to create dining experiences that the family can gather around. There is both a bathroom and a small toilet, and the sleeping accommodation is divided into three bedrooms with two double beds and two single beds, so there is plenty of space for six sleeping guests.
The large windows welcome in nature, and when the doors are opened, the beach and the sea around the Sea Mill are just a few steps away.
Havmøllen was built in 1677 and with its scenic location at one of Djursland's most visited nature areas at Jernhatten, it has been a well visited place. The farm's interesting buildings and natural access route from Jernhatten to the ramparts have attracted many people, and the site has also been a cultural meeting place for the local area. Farmers could have their grain milled here. After the mill ceased operations in 1875, the farm has served as an agricultural property and is now in use to welcome guests to a place where community dining, culture, art and the environment are the mainstays.
