About this property
Chehalem Mountain Hideaway
1500 sq ft, spacious, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen. 2 floors, parking, gated entrance. Entry into full kitchen and dining area. Staircase down to 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, large living room with barn-beamed ceiling, fire place and walk-out to the large rear deck. Owners on Premise. Relax on the deck with view of a park like setting of oak trees. Perfect for 2 couples looking for a tranquil time out. Wake up, put your robes on, percolate the coffee and sit on the deck and to listen to the birds and be lucky enough to see the deer. Later in the day take your glass of wine that you have purchased from one of the dozens of nearby wineries, walk down to the creek, listen to the bubbling water or check out the orchard & garden for fresh fruit and vegetables,. Or take a blanket and snack and sit out in the oak grove.
There is a newly remodeled fully equipped kitchen with large window and great view of the Oak Grove.
Make your own dinner, relax and watch the sunset or drive to Newberg /Dundee/McMinnville/Carlton to eat at one of our fabulous Yamhill county restaurants.
Spend a weekend or spend a week. You'll love it in Yamhill County! It's not just Wine Country, there are several Micro-breweries & Tap Houses in the area and an excellent Sake factory 1/2 hr away. Within an hour to 1 1/2 hrs drive we have Mt Hood, the Evergreen Aviation Museum, the Grande Rhonde Casino , the Oregon Coast , Oregon Gardens, Silver Falls, George Fox University, Linfield College and, of course, Portland and all it has to offer.
That's just a beginning. We have lists of wineries, suggestions of restaurants, hiking trail books and other ideas of available attractions and things to do.

What makes this property unique
Feels like you are in the country but you are 10 minutes from all the amenities the quaint town of Newberg offers. You can shop, bike and wine taste during the day and settle in to our place for an undisturbed relaxed evening. The full kitchen is large and open with a view of the forest. Cook your own dinner and drink the local wines you have purchased during the day. The old barn wood beamed ceilings create a rustic cozy feeling. The views from the windows are spectacular and with luck you'll catch the daily migration of the deer.
