About this property
Stella di Mare by Wonderful Italy
A spacious and bright flat, situated on the 5th floor with a lift. In the vicinity of this residential area of Bari lies the lush Parco 2 Giugno, the city’s largest green space, ideal for a relaxing stroll. Just a short walk away, you can admire elegant historic villas from the 20th century and the rationalist architecture of the nearby university campus. Furthermore, the strategic location allows you to quickly reach the picturesque seafront and the wonders of the old town.
The entrance to the flat opens onto the bright living area, comprising a living room with a large sofa and a dining table. The living room leads out onto the terrace with sea views and outdoor furniture, perfect for relaxing. The kitchen is separate and fully equipped. Continuing through the house, you come to the sleeping area, comprising a double bedroom and another with two single beds. The layout of the house is completed by an en-suite bathroom and a guest bathroom.
*There are other accommodations inside the building.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
Fascinating, rich in history, and authentic: Bari is the capital of Puglia and the most populous city overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Also known as the "Gateway to the East," the city has a strong merchant-entrepreneurial tradition and has always been a focal point of trade and contact with the Middle East. The city's offerings are truly rich: ancient churches, romantic glimpses of the sea, historic palaces, relaxing walks along the waterfront, and, finally, local gastronomic treasures such as orecchiette, focaccia, or panzerotti.
The discovery of the city certainly begins in the area of "Bari Vecchia," or the oldest core where most of the city's sites of interest are located. Visiting its historic center is a bit like stepping back in time. Walking through the alleys of Bari Vecchia, one crosses Via Arcobasso, also known as Via Orecchiette, where local ladies prepare, according to ancient recipes, fresh local pasta. Among the city's main attractions are the Basilica of St. Nicholas, built at the end of the 11th century, a pilgrimage destination and symbol of Catholic and Orthodox culture, and the Norman-Swabian Castle, a legacy of Frederick II of Swabia, between the sea and the old town.
In addition, numerous Apulian destinations such as the city of Trani (50 km), with its breathtaking scenery, rich in history and harmonious architectural lines, Castel del Monte (55 km), one of Italy's 54 UNESCO World Heritage sites, Alberobello with its typical trulli (55 km) and Castellana Grotte (45 km) are easily accessible from this city. Moving south, Polignano a Mare, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," will leave you speechless with its crystal-clear waters and rock embroidered with cavities carved by the sea.
Bari-Karol Wojtyla International Airport is a 15-minute drive, while Brindisi Airport is 125 km away.
