Design villa between two seas and calm

Bunker House is located at Faro de Punta Carnero in the Estrecho Natural Park, where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic meet and Europe almost touches Africa. The view spans more than 180 degrees and takes in Gibraltar, Ceuta, Jebel Musa, and Tangier. The days begin with sunrise over the sea and end under the starry sky with the sound of waves and wind from the Strait.



The rooms are open and light-filled, featuring natural materials and soft tones inspired by Mediterranean life. Light follows the house throughout the day, constantly connecting the interior with the landscape outside. In the garden stands an old military bunker, a silent witness to the strategic history of the Strait of Gibraltar, giving the place a character you won’t find many other places.



Outside, there’s a terrace for breakfast with ocean views, nooks for reading or yoga, and gardens that blend into the surrounding natural landscape. From the coast, you can kayak along the cliffs, snorkel in clear waters, or try windsurfing and kitesurfing in Getares or Tarifa.



Parque Natural del Estrecho offers coastal trails and birdwatching with panoramic views of the Strait. Out on the water, dolphins, pilot whales, and sperm whales traverse these waters every season. Valdevaqueros, Punta Paloma, and Bolonia are favorite beaches for quiet afternoons, and Tarifa’s old town and long beaches are worth a visit.
