About this property

3 Bed in Bontuchel (oc-t34920)

Offering light and spacious accommodation for up to six guests, this peaceful, beautifully presented barn conversion makes a fantastic holiday retreat for families and friends enjoying a tranquil break with idyllic views. The property lies within the bounds of a working farm in the rural hamlet of Bontuchel, with a range of seasonal highlights and a choice of serene walking trails through the surrounding Denbighshire landscape. Friendly pubs and restaurants can be found in nearby villages including Ruthin and Cyffylliog, both within 3 miles. Heading east, the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape (5 miles) provides miles of breathtaking walks and cycling trails. For a day by the seaside, head to Rhyl along the North Wales coast (19 miles), home to four beautiful sandy beaches. Heading west, Snowdonia / Eryri National Park (17 miles) is perfect for hikers, climbers and nature spotters.

Entering this thoughtfully adapted barn conversion, the light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner offers a warm welcome. The double-height lounge area sits beneath a high beamed ceiling, with sumptuous seating and a TV, offering an ideal space for everyone to unwind in. At the heart of the room, the handsome dining table is perfect for enjoying a family meal together, which you can rustle up in the beautifully arranged and fully equipped kitchen area to the rear. At the centre of this room a spiral staircase leads up to a peaceful mezzanine snug. Overlooking the main living space, this cheerful second lounge provides a relaxing spot for curling up with a good book. When it's time to turn in for the night, there are three bright and cosy bedrooms along the corridor, each with restful views of the surrounding farm and countryside: a characterful super-king-size room, a cheerful double and a charming twin with an en-suite WC and wooden beams in a low sloping ceiling. The accommodation is rounded off with a stylish bathroom with an elegant freestanding rolltop bath.

Stepping outside, the spacious private paved terrace has ample garden furniture, offering a fabulous spot for dining alfresco on a sunny afternoon. There's also a bubbling wood-fired hot tub for you to luxuriate in, alongside a generous lawn with plenty of space for younger guests to let off steam. Ample on-site parking is available.
