Stunning views are what you get from this South Dakota lake home with water on 3 sides. The walls of the living room / kitchen area are all floor to ceiling glass!
There is a massive stone gas fireplace in the center of the house that can be turned on via remote control. There is a large sectional sofa as well as a futon with full bed. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, cups, bowls, and all the utensils you will need. Some of the other amenities include: a deep freeze, Netflix, a washer, a dryer, a dishwasher and keurig coffee maker.
This home is located near a golf course at the end in a private, peaceful setting. Shore restoration, sandy beach, screened-in beach house for bug free meals by the water, a 3 seasons room off the deck and one of the bedrooms, and a nice dock are some of the many great features of this getaway. Fishing is also excellent on Lake Hendricks.
The town of Hendricks itself has everything you need and more including a grocery store, hardware store, bait, restaurants, bars, and even a movie theater!

My wife, Barbara, and I have owned this wonderful property for the last 12 years. We live and work in Sioux Falls which is about an hour away.
The first couple years of ownership, we were getting great use of the lake in the summers and even some in the winters. We have since been blessed with 2 sons, ages 8 and 10, so our time at the lake was put on the back burner while we chased and cleaned up after our little rascals :). Our little goofballs keep us very busy and we have not been able to make it up there as often, so we wanted to give others the chance to enjoy the beautiful location.

Why they chose this property

We chose this property for many reasons. We both live in Sioux Falls and were looking for somewhere within 100 miles so we would have the option to throw some clothes in a bag and head up there if we had a free weekend. We wanted it to be unique and secluded but not far from stores in case we forgot to bring something with us. This property was just what we were looking for. It is the perfect location at the end of a private drive. It is surrounded on 3 of the 4 sides by water. One side is Lake Hendricks which is a beautiful body of water that stays relatively warm in the summer because it is only about 16-17ft at the deepest area. The fishing is great and if you are able to hit the right time of the year the silver bass practically jump out of the water into your bucket. We have also snagged some northern and walleye. The other 2 sides of the property have a shallow body of water that is perfect to canoe and watch the carp jump out of the water next to you.
Down the street is the beautiful 9 hole Hendricks Golf Club. Downtown Hendricks is only a couple miles away and has everything you need (or forgot) including a lumber yard, a grocery store, a bait/gas station, a movie theater (in an old barn), a full bar/restaurant, a bakery, and much more. The people of Hendricks are always wonderful and very friendly. There are honestly too many reasons why this property and area would be the perfect little weekend getaway for any family or small group to enjoy! Come and check out for yourself why we have loved it so much!

What makes this property unique

Surrounded by water on 3 sides. Golf course walking distance away. Wonderful small town located a mile away with everything you could need for the weekend. Fully furnished house with an extra room in the garage (currently under renovation). Outdoor Weber grill and plenty of seating. 3 seasons dining area and outdoor fire pit next to the lake. Large grass areas for outdoor games and activities. Amazon Fire TV Media Streamer with Netflix on the HD TV in the living room as well as both bedrooms. Sleeps 8 comfortably.
