Start nearby at the beautiful village of Cove (2 miles), where a charming harbour and sandy beach make a lovely setting for a relaxed wander, rock pooling or a picnic by the shore. For classic seaside atmosphere, head to Dunbar (10 miles) or Eyemouth (14 miles) – both bustling coastal towns with beaches, harbours and cafes. History and scenery combine in Coldingham (11 miles), a picturesque village known for its welcoming inns, the ruins of a 7th-century priory, and the stunning sweep of Coldingham Bay, popular for surfing and long coastal walks. Wildlife lovers shouldn’t miss St Abbs (12 miles), a postcard-pretty fishing village and gateway to the National Nature Reserve.
