Within 4 miles of the barn is the pleasant market town of South Molton, where you can enjoy a selection of independent shops, places to eat, and traditional markets twice a week. For walking and outdoor activities, Exmoor National Park is just 10 miles away, while those who prefer a day on the sand, can enjoy the beaches at Instow, Croyde and Westward Ho! all within 25 miles. If you prefer to explore on two wheels, the traffic-free Tarka Trail is within half a mile of the cottage, perfect for scenic bike rides. Head to the town of Barnstaple (15 miles) to pick up some local produce at the characterful Pannier Market or jump aboard MS Oldenburg in Bideford (23 miles) and enjoy a boat trip to the wildlife-rich Lundy Island. Other exciting attractions in the local area include RHS Rosemoor, Tapeley Park, and Arlington Court, all within 23 miles.

Head up a flight of stone steps to the front door of this characterful barn. Step inside into the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and make yourselves comfortable on the sofas, which are perfectly placed to enjoy your favourite programmes on the TV/DVD. If you’re feeling peckish, the kitchen is equipped with everything you might need for your stay, including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Climb the stairs to the first floor and choose between three bedrooms, each beautifully styled for a restful night’s sleep. There is a king-size, twin and a single bedroom. Finally, there is a contemporary bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside and to the rear of the barn is a small, enclosed patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ, ideal for dining alfresco on sunny days. Each of the gardens for the cottages on the complex is separated by picket fences with gates, which can be opened should you wish to socialise with your neighbours! For a special occasion, the property also boasts a spa-grade hot tub with magnificent views and luxury robes which can be booked for 2 hours at an additional cost of £45, arranged directly with the owner. There is also private off-road parking for one car.

Shared on-site facilities include a children’s play area and play barn, a summerhouse with seating and coffee-making facilities, alpaca walking experience (at an additional cost), a dog exercise paddock, an alpaca field with hammocks, and 18 acres of grounds with cut walkways leading to outdoor seating areas.

If bringing more than 1 car, £15 will be payable upon arrival and any profit donated to the Devon Wildlife Trust
