Discover this rural retreat on a working farm near Ironbridge, an all-year-round destination. Enjoy a meal out at the pubs, restaurants or cafes, attend events and visit over ten fascinating museums alongside the world-famous bridge and its river. A fishing permit for the River Severn can be purchased in town or head downstream to try your skills in a coracle. Visit National Trust properties such as Benthall Hall, Dudmaston and Attingham Park, or the historic town of Shrewsbury and pretty Much Wenlock. Walkers can join numerous paths from the property and in the Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This landscape of rolling hills and river valleys offers scenic cycling, golf and hang gliding, to mention just a few of the activities in the area.
Park the car and stroll down to this lovely shepherd’s hut with all your home comforts in the most magical of settings amongst woodland and rolling countryside. Once inside you have the full-size double bed to your left, then the lounge/kitchen/diner to your right. The wood burner takes centre stage by the side of the sofa for cosy nights in, maybe watching a film on TV. If you decide to eat in, the kitchen area is equipped with an electric oven and two-ring hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. It is a lovely space to rustle up a meal and enjoy your culinary delights at the cosy dining table, perfectly positioned by the window; open up the doors and let the outside in or head out on to the deck. Take a leisurely shower in the en-suite shower room with WC. Enjoy a good night’s sleep in the lovely double bed with fabulous views to wake up to.
Wonderful outside spaces to enjoy, a decking area with table and chairs, a brick-built charcoal BBQ, extensive lawn, seasonal planting, and an elevated deck suspended over a stream below with table and chairs is perfect for an afternoon treat. You are welcome to explore the farm and meet the cows, arranged directly with the owner. There is private parking for one car. A secure shed is available if you need to store bicycles, motorcycles, fishing tackle or even kayaks. There is also hared access to washing machines and tumble dryers.
