This splendid 18th-century house with stunning views in the heart of Corwen is perfect for friends and families looking to relax and explore North Wales. Discover the countryside and relish the amenities this attractive town has to offer, including pubs, eateries, and shops. Explore historic Ruthin and Denbigh, the vibrant town of Llangollen and the market town of Oswestry, all within 15 miles and all offering an array of shops, restaurants, and leisure activities. Walk or cycle along the canal, climb in Berwyn Mountains (25 miles), go fishing or white water rafting on the River Dee (28 miles), sail on Bala Lake (13 miles), ride on the steam train in Llangollen (10 miles) and enjoy many sporting and cultural events nearby. Visit the National Trust's Chirk Castle (17 miles) or explore Wales' highest waterfall, Pistyll Rhaeadr (26 miles). All in all, this is an ideal location to relax or have a more active holiday.
This former farmhouse is full of period features and creature comforts to enhance your stay. The front door opens into the hall and there’s a spacious dining room to your left, with a feature fireplace and dining table taking centre stage. From here, you can make your way through to the galley kitchen and to the separate utility outside the kitchen door. If you decide to eat in, you have all the equipment you need to rustle up a meal for everyone to enjoy. The lounge, leading off the hall, also has a feature fireplace with a wood burner-effect gas fire, comfortable sofas, and Smart TV/DVD to relax in front of after a full day out. The conservatory is a lovely space to relax in whilst embracing the most stunning of views over the town towards the rolling Dee Valley countryside. Upstairs, you will find three bedrooms: a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) with a TV, a double with a TV and a twin, all with comfortable mattresses and soft linen. In the mornings, take an invigorating shower in the lovely shower room.
The front garden has pretty borders and specimen trees with paved paths. This is a lovely spot for al fresco dining at the table and chairs, so light the gas BBQ, or just relax, listen to the birds and embrace the views over the town and towards the rolling countryside. there is also a large lockable store for bikes, canoes and motorcycles.
